Out 2 games. per teh twitterz. :MARIS61:

Well at least we aint trading him now

Trade him?!? He has 2 surgically repaired knees and a bad shoulder, this is exactly the type of player we want to build the franchise around!

So, he was hurt "In Practice."

Is that the name of the club he got thrown out of last night? :banghead:

I was actually developing a tiny sliver of hope for the kid too. I should know better by now. :dunno:

It probably happened on that famous sofa at Oden's mother's house.

I started all those threads telling you guys not to cut Armon.

But would you listen? NOOOO!

Yeah, because with Elliot Williams out for two games we need a crappy 4th string PG much more than the productive back-up center who took his roster spot.

According to Casey Holdahl and Mike Rice, E-Will and Chris Johnson were playing one on one, E-Will went up for a dunk and collided with Chris and the rim at the same time popping his shoulder out of joint. Was screaming in pain for about 15 mins.

Man, apparently Chris Johnson will do anything to get on the active list.

Trail Blazers guard Elliot Williams dislocated his left shoulder Thursday after practice at Emerson College in Boston. The following is a transcript of his comments regarding the injury.

How's the shouldering feeling?

"I'm good. More of a freak accident than anything. I'll be alright, though."

How did it happen?

"Chris (Johnson) hit it back. He kind of hit my wrist and I tried to go over his wrist and it jammed back. I knew it right when it happened."

So it popped out?

"Yeah. It popped out."

Is it back in now?

"Yeah! I wouldn't be standing here if it wasn't! I'm getting an MRI just to make sure everything is alright. One of those things where it popped out. It took a while to pop back in, but we got it back in. Now just trying to get healthy."

Has that every happened to you before?

"Nah. That's a freak accident. The doctor said everything has to line up for it to pop out the way it did."

I thought maybe you had dislocated a finger because of the way you were holding your hand.

"I was trying to yank it back in. Could you tell (it was dislocated)?"

Yeah, as soon as you stood up, you could tell.
You were just starting to get minutes. That's got to be tough.

"Yeah, it's tough. But at the same time, you can't do anything about things like that. The one thing I control is getting back healthy. That's the main focus, get back healthy and be a supporter for my teammates."

It happened during the time you young guys stay back to get extra work in. Are you still going to do that?

"Yeah, you've got to continue to get better. I'm an aggressive kind of guy, period. I've very competitive. We were playing one-on-one. Whatever the coaches need, I'm going to continue to do that. It's not like I can stop doing what I'm doing. Just got to be more cautious."

Have they told you how severe it is?

"I've got to see when we get the MRI. They just did x-rays, so you can't really tell. I'm fine on the x-ray, but they can't really see anything on that. Once we get the MRI done I'll know more about it."

I guess it's a good thing you brought a suit with you on the trip.

"That's another scary thing: I brought a suit for no reason. That was weird, too. But I'm good. I'll be alright."

Are you hoping to get back to the team on this road trip?

"I've got to see this MRI, make sure I'm good. It just feels like I jammed it. Just feels real tight. Once they look at the MRI I'll know more about it."

I don't know if anyone caught KOIN last night but apparently the team fears that this is a "severe" injury.

It took four people to pop it back into place. I think it's safe to say we wont see E-Will until next season.

Christ on Buddha's pogo stick! Greg Oden 2.0.

When we drafted the guy, I compared it to buying your kid a pre-broken toy. People flamed the hell out of me for saying it. Just once when I get the last laugh, I would like it to be for an optimistic prediction!

"The injury was so gruesome, Williams' shoulder was poking out of the back of his shoulder and team trainer Geoff Clark could not pop it back in place. Williams had to go to a Boston-area hospital for treatment and it took three people to pop it back into its normal position. "

Chris Johnson said:
"I feel real bad because he was getting minutes and he was being productive with those minutes," Johnson said. "You definitely don't want to see that, especially with someone on your team."

He'll be fine. Not a big injury

There will be no kidding on the S2 interwebs. This is serious stuff.

Portland guard Elliot Williams's MRI on left dislocated shoulder is abnormal. He will undergo further examination and evaluation later this week.

Well that aint good. So our possibilities are torn labrum, cartilage damage, tendon damage or torn muscle. What am I missing?
