Do you think if we had to or wanted to we could change or alter our climate intentionally?

Can you think of any instances where we have accidentally changed our environment for the better? For the worst?

Sorry, I just don't buy into the whole, "Only god can change a climate" argument. I believe that humankind can and will change our climate for the better in the near future.

Only in utopia is there myopia.

Didn't Michael Mann create Miami Vice? Anything he says has to be true......

I think 200 years of Man is spit in the ocean compared to the 1M years of volcanic activity in Siberia.

However, Man can deforest a million square miles of rain forest.

(there's a Hispanic joke in there somewhere, but I'm not going to dig it out)

True story. A buddy of mine and I bought a six-unit apartment building in Old Town Alexandria which had 27 Guatemalans living in it. We decided to renovate one floor at a time, so we evicted the tenants on the first floor. A couple of weeks later we found out that we had 27 Guatemalans living in three units. We didn't have a choice; we had to evict everyone. Over the next month, the police were called to the property eight times because one of the former tenants would get drunk, forget they had been evicted and would try to break into the building to get some sleep.
