New in town or something?

No. I am just wondering when you think Miller took over at GM and destroyed this team.

Was it the Camby trade? T. Outlaw and Blake were both backups. Despite Outlaw getting a big contract and more minutes, his production has not been stellar. Blake is still the same Blake in LA.

Was it the Martell trade where Minnesota regretted it so much they filed a greivance with the league?

Was it the Bayless trade, that ended up with him being dealt again almost immediately?

Who are these players that he traded away that left us with an empty cupboard?

Who is it you think is so bad? Outlaw (starter), Blake, and Webster (later injured) immediately became key players on their new teams. Looking at Bayless' per-minute stats in Toronto, I see he's doing well.

What is this ridiculous nonsense about trying to get out of season tickets ASAP? There is no refund on tickets if a season doesn't go as planned, which leads me to believe the OP is making all of this crap up.

Went to the Chalk Talk as a bonus tonight. Talked with Dale Schlueter (sp?) and got his autograph. Won a signed Nic Batum ball. Would have scored big getting a signed B Roy shoe if I had known the youngest players on the team (Elliot and Luke have the same B Day). I only guessed Elliot.

Lucked out at the game as well, scoring two Nutcracker tickets from the blimp envelope drops.

It is a great day to be a Blazer!

Portland has what, the 5th most expensive average in the league? Thru thick and thin is one thing, but when the state of Oregon has such a high unemployment rate, and the team isn't giving 5th highest price tickets effort.........

Unemployment rate has little to do with it. The Rose Garden only seats 20,000. The metro area has a few million. Season tickets aren't primarily sold to the unemployed.

I got out last year for a) ridiculous price increases, b) team not getting me playoff tickets (they "apologized", but I didn't get tickets), c) it's not worth a 7hr round trip drive on top of the 5k a year to get frustrated at poor play. I can do that on my couch, DVR'd, so I can do something else with my evening and watch it at my leisure.

Totally random statement: I wish Barrett would just shut up about the shot clock. We get it.

I can certainly understand that, since I am at the very most a 30 minute round trip drive and I still prefer to do it on my couch. With the supermodels.

Love with 33 and 15 last night against NYK. 3-5 from behind the arc. He's now averaging 20 and 15 and shooting 40% from downtown.

This week's prize being raffled off for season ticket holder's:

Hanging in the production truck during a game. If I win, I may invite MIXUM just to see if he and HCP beat the crap out of each other.

So if I win I get to watch the game on TV in a cramped space instead of live?

What next, Work the Food Stand Day?

Next I think is Wash the Team's Laundry Day. I hear they had to buy a bigger washing machine for Greg's Jock.

Seriously though, I think it would be pretty cool watching what goes on behind the scenes of a production.

I will probably keep mine for as long as I can without any financial hardship.

The second I have to choose between eating and tickets the tickets are getting kicked to the curb.

I don't think having tickets or not says anything about your fandom.
After all, there are tons of fans at the games I attend who aren't really even paying attention to game while there are tons of folks who DVR games so they can break them down like the Zapruder Film.

Buying season tickets is much like gambling.
You are hoping that the team is worth the money and time but you don't actually know until the season is over.

And much like gambling, you should probably only spend what you can afford to loose.

I would probably look into retooling. But to retool, you have to have something to retool with. Blazers have some pieces. But the pieces are broken so I don't know if you can really retool with that.

I just watched a interview with Camby in which he said he has never won anything and that he would like win a championship before his career is over. It might have been just me, but I think he was hinting at something. Why not move him for another asset? Were not going to win anything relevant before it's time for him to hang it up. A team that is ready to compete now might give up something kind of nice for him.

I don't know. You obviously want to make sure Pryz is back before you do anything. But once he is, I probably would try to honor his request and desire an send him some place where he can win big now.

Camby to San Antonio for George Hill and Splitter?

I would do that. But I think the Spurs are pretty high on Splitter. I kind of doubt they will move nice young talent for Camby. But I love Hill.

I was looking at the Laker roster and trying to see if they had anything we would be interested in. I didn't see anything. If was going to move Camby to a winner, I would almost move him to a place in which I knew he could win a title. Lakers, Celtics, maybe the Spurs.

I would move him somewhere where we could get the best talent in return. I love Camby and all, but this is a business and this team needs all the help it can get.

Yep, I agree. The Spurs have some good pieces. I don't see them moving Splitter for the aging Camby, though.

George Hill is to Popovich as Wes Matthews was to Sloan. I don't think he's going anywhere.
