IRL, I'm sure the person who plays Maris61 is a democrat. Much like Carrol O'Conner played a bigoted racist xenophobe on All in the Family, but in real life he was very liberal and progressive.

I've always been extremely socially-liberal, more so nowadays than in my youth. Peruse my early Obama-era posts and you'll see I voted for him and defended most of his social policies.

I have all kinds of friends from all walks of life and I defend their right to be whomever they want to be. It's the American Dream, and it's the definition of Personal Freedom.

I am not a progressive. The word progressive means "step by step change" which is how overthrows of free countries happen.

The Constitution is the most liberal document of rights ever written, and the Dem party's attempts to weaken it are "progressive".
It's one reason I left the extremely oppressive Dem party and voted for the more liberal Trump.

I'm also a non-interventionist and a proponent for limited government, as the Constitution intended. This is why I reject both parties.

Intimidation is solely in the mind of the "victim" and therefore cannot exist without acceptance.

In my opinion not a great idea to run around armed, and if I were king it would not be an option, but I'm not king, have no plans to be king, and do not play king on TV.

I can see how its menacing. I wouldn't want to see anyone non police/military walking down the street with assault rifles. But, it is within their rights. I don't agree with the message, but I am not against people practicing their right to bare arms as long as they aren't being violent.
agree 100%.
Id rather have these guys doing this and being civil within their rights, than anarchist harassing kids and setting the flag on fire and busting windows because they hate cops and America.

Oh yeah, I believe that.

Here's where we differ, I aspire to be King. I'm King at the dinner table and my wife gave me permission to say that.

That might work in a Monarchy such as GB, where the enslaved cower in obedience.

King is just another word for slave master.

When staring down the barrel of a loaded gun, there is existential intimidation.

Yes, Queen Elizabeth is such a horrible tyrant.

King is just another word for slave master.

Thanks Captain Thesaurus!

Pointing a gun at someone is a threat.

What the video portrays is subtle intimidation, essentially offensive but legal free "speech" or expression.

Ask him all about his intimidation at the Lloyd Center area about 2 or 3 decades ago. I'm sure he will tell you all about it.

In this case, I don't feel that these folks are intimidating people. And at least they've done some homework.

Ha! At long last, I found a place to disagree with you Brian.
Take the gun out of the picture and give those turkeys a club and they are no more likeable. They are still menacing people about the elections. This is illegal activity in most states.

You are correct in that you may choose not to be intimidated. However, the statute is not against being intimidated. The statute is prohibiting the attempt to intimidate with a creditable apparent threat.

I've been educated on the fine line between open-carry and "brandishing".

I see no threat in what they were doing.

Im not ok with anyone from any side using intimidation ant the threat of violence to promote a candidate. But I do acknowledge it is legal.
