Eddie Murphy to play Ridder? Shia Labeouf? Robin?

Britain's The Sun newspaper reported that the Beverly Hills Cop actor has been signed up by British director Christopher Nolan to reprise the role played by Jim Carrey in 1995's Batman Forever.

Recent speculation linked Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp to the role.

The film, set for a 2010 release, is being developed under the working title Gotham.

Transformers star Shia Labeouf has also been signed up to play Robin, the paper reported.

Actress Rachel Weisz is said to be up for the role of feline villain Catwoman.

this is bull, they arent doing robin at all, bale said he would rather die than be seen in another batman film if robin was involved, same as nolan, nolan is interested in creating something good, something worthwhile, not a big star fest with corny characters like robin. but, about eddie, that would be pretty interesting actually.

anyway, the thing that gives it away is the set for 2010. the last 2 nolan/batman films have been announced or rumored 2 or 3 years earleeir than release, theres no way they could get a whole movie in the works, right after dark knight and have it out by next year, impossible.

Thank the hollywood gods, that its just a rumor. There was a rumor of Johnny Depp playing the Riddler. Hmm I guess a merky gothy emo type Riddler would be interesting to see.

I think Depp would make a good Riddler too.

Doesn't seem likely since Bale said he would bail if they added Robin to the series. Leave Robin for future producers and writers with different actors for Batman,etc.
