The electorates are becoming polarized. There's almost no crossover in the Venn Diagram between the two parties. It's reflected in people voting with their feet. I happen to live in a swing state and will be voting as a non-Oregonian for the first time in my life. If Clackamas County sends me a ballot, however, I'll happily vote Chicago-style, not that it will matter in Oregon.
