I'd like to see the father/son rule from Australian Football in the NBA.
In the Australian Football League (AFL) if a player plays 100 games for one club (team), said club gets first draft rights to his sons (if the son agrees).
This leads to generations of the same family playing for the one club.
The way it currently works is that when a player's name is called in the draft, his father/son club must use their next pick to draft him.
100 games in the AFL works out to about 5 seasons. The average AFL career is 85 games.
Translating this to the NBA 410 games is 5 season, 379 games is the average NBA career.
So 400 games for one team seems about right to qualify for the father/son rule.
I'm finding it hard to find any more than the top 10 most games played for PDX, but the sons of at least these players would be able to be drafted by Portland first.
