I disagree with them giving scholarships to illegals because some of their funding comes from the Dept. of Ed., which comes from our pockets ultimately. However I won't disagree about there needing to be more/or faster avenues for getting illegals legal. I just dont think they should be able to stay in our country while doing so, unless they've followed some sort of process to allow that.

When you build your private university you can award scholarships to whomever you choose. That kid never saw a nickel of your money dude..and for your historical reference....our country was founded by Europeans who didn't have ID cards either.

I'm not talking about other countries. I am merely talking about illegal immigrants getting free rides to universities, in this particular case Georgetown, and it being completely wrong. They shouldn't be allowed to harbor illegals. These people shouldn't be here consuming services and funding that could of and should have gone to valid Americans (regardless of color)

You can't prove that. Whereas there is info out there that has Dept. Of Education giving money to Georgetown. So yes, our money does go to support these illegals.

The thing is, as a country we should know the people who are residing here. Its only smart safety. Other countries also want to know who is in the country. There are rules for a reason. If you are not going to enforce rules, you are essentially allowing people to break them.

Its a weird situation. It doesnt bother me that the kid earned a scholarship through hard work. Imo, i wish america had more people with that drive. But it does bother me that rules arent being enforced to stop illegal immigration.

I dont really have an answer for what to do. Its a tough situation.
