Marniers fired that Lou Patella guy and they haven't had a knee injury since.
Another reason Nate McPatella has to go.

A former co-worker of mine is an assistant coach for a Pac-10 basketball team, so he is not just some average guy speculating... He told me last year (during all the injuries) that he fully believes some of it is Nate's style of coaching regarding how he conducts practices. He said that the practices are too intense (or something like that) mixed with an NBA schedule and that it just wears too hard on the players' bodies, but I can't imagine that being Williams problem considering he is so new to the team.

They should really look at replacing the practice court floor during the offseason. Don't forget all of the stress fractures in feet this team has had too over the last couple of years.

Is he at Blazer practices?
The Blazers better come out and play with real fire and energy tonight in his honor, or it will be a disgrace to the memory of Elliot Williams' rookie year, and I will excoriate them accordingly, forthcoming suspension be damned.
Didn't Elliott have a bad knee before we drafted him?

"Bruised" knee in a workout.
Seriously more insensitive than Mixum's comments.
Blazer code for chipped knee cap?

Bummer for him and for us, who would at least have been able to hear about his exploits in the D-League.
Are we going to get any sort of exception for him in terms of roster spot?
At least it's not Brandon Roy getting hurt.
Ed O.
Quiet, you! Egads, man. Have you know sense of the jinx?
I don't know about firing anyone. However I do believe the Blazers must be doing something wrong for these guys to keep blowing out their knees. This is more than a coincidence. This is the THIRD patella injury.
We have to fire the training staff ASAP.

Blazer GM Rich Cho lost more games to injury in past four hours than in previous two seasons with OKC
