so, it's speculating he may be interested in the Knicks (and that Baron is too) . Should we try to offer him anything?
how about Biedrins?

Since Kiki said we're "building around Devin" , I think either of these guys may be a good idea. thoughts?

tbh, I think Ellis and Biedrins may be the best young duo in the game to start with. I would love to get either of them.

Our mid-level exception wouldn't be nearly enough to attract Ellis. It would have to be through a sign-and-trade, and I don't think we have anyone who would interest the Warriors.

I don't think we can afford him or give him the minutes he wants without moving one of RJ or Carter first.

I'm still pulling for an Eric Gordon drafting who is very similar to Ellis. DeAndre Jordan could potentially have a gaurantee in the top 5 which could bump one of Gallo, Randolph, Gordon or Love to us possibly.

I'm pretty sure him and biedrins are both restricted and the W's won't let either of them go. I think they'll move Baron if it comes down to it before either one of those guys.

Last year, Stefanski told a group of season ticket holders that in 2005 the Nets desperately tried to buy or otherwise acquire a pick early in the second round when Ellis slipped out of the first. They didn't try hard enough. Warriors took Ellis at #40 and then the Nets were left with Ilic at #43.

Ellis had been the first player to work out for the Nets in 2005. He had a knee issue (sound familar--the Nets were fixated on knees in 2005: SAR and Granger) and teams decided to go the safe route.

He would cost between $6 and $7 million, I would think.
