The North & South are at it again! It's been a while since we looked at Korea.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North and South Korea fired hundreds of artillery shells into each other's waters Monday in a flare-up of animosity that forced residents of five front-line South Korean islands to evacuate to shelters for several hours, South Korean officials said.

The exchange of fire into the Yellow Sea followed Pyongyang's sudden announcement that it would conduct live-fire drills in seven areas north of the Koreas' disputed maritime boundary. North Korea routinely test-fires artillery and missiles into the ocean but rarely discloses those plans in advance. The announcement was seen as an expression of Pyongyang's frustration at making little progress in its recent push to win outside aid.

Koreans are experimenting with a new "bloodless war" concept.

Both sides fire their missiles into uninhabited open water. Zero casualties on either side. Finally, a war they can sell to the "voters" back home!

Still a few details to work out, such as how long to keep bombing the ocean and how to determine a winner...

If all wars were like this, I wouldn't mind Republicans bankrupting us with eternal war.

A proposal: Float basketball hoops in the water. Give each Korea 2 points each time its shell hits the target. Tally it up every 48 minutes and fly in Dennis Rodman to award the trophy.

DONT WERRY GAIZ! If it getz 2 owt of hannd, Sheriff Obama wil b on da case!

North Korea's latest dictator has turned out to be as ruthless and inhumane as they come. Only time will tell if he is wreckless as well. The people of North Korea are truly enslaved. If ever a country needed to be overthrown, this one tops the list.

Agreed! Though I'm sure we'd get shit from somebody... not sure who exactly, but we'd get shit regardless...

If god wanted the North Koreans to be free he would have put massive amounts of oil in their country. No oil, no reason for America to get involved.

I hope that's sarcasm.

Translation: Obama will probably interfere (and probably make things worse) if this situation gets any bigger.

based on what evidence?

Thats just our past as a nation. Getting up in everyone's business is our trademark.

that is true. But if that is your argument, then it's not about Obama but our foreign policy. And based on our foreign policies past history, Obama isn't exactly doing that.

If anything, he's getting riled on by the right for NOT doing it enough...and if he doesn't do it, he's riled on for not doing it.

I think he shouldn't be involved in the Ukraine situation, and we're (basically) not. We shouldn't have done anything with Iraq (damn him!) or Egypt or pretty much anywhere that isn't North America.

Does he start giant eternal wars and create dozens of torture asylums around the world? Does he kill people every week thousands of miles away with drones?

Clean up your own house before throwing glass stones, physician.

Old saying.

We tried that shit back in the day. My uncle was a paratrooper in the Korean War.

They kicked our ass so bad, I would hope after a second whupping in Vietnam we'd just avoid asians in general when it comes to war.

As for enslaved? I guess it depends on your definition.

The Korean People's Army constitutes the military forces of North Korea. Kim Jong-un is the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army and Chairman of the National Defence Commission. The KPA consists of five branches, Ground Force, the Navy, the Air Force, the Strategic Rocket Forces, and the Special Operation Force. Also, the Worker-Peasant Red Guards come under control of the KPA.

As of 2013, with 9,495,000 active, reserve, and paramilitary personnel, it is the largest military organization on earth.[7] This number represents nearly 40% of the population,[8] and is the numeric equivalent of the entire population between ages 20 and 45.

Seems like the citizens are holding themselves prisoner.
