JESUS was GAY - according to the gospel of SIR ELTON JOHN.

The singer makes his controversial claim about the Lord in a new US interview that will enrage America's bible belt.

Elton, 62, declares as he pours out his heart to a magazine: "I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems."

He adds: "Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don't know what makes people so cruel. Try being a gay woman in the Middle East - you're as good as dead."

The whole water into wine thing is what probably tipped him off, a straight messiah would have turned it into beer.

No, Jesus isn't gay, because Jesus wasn't real. Jesus is a fantasy character made up by some folks who wrote a book intent on dominating people through religious fervor. :devilwink:

he's not going to get it by claiming Jesus is something different than who Jesus said He was. Kind of hard to lead a life that, according to the Bible, was "without sin", when homosexuality is pretty straightforwardly labeled as one. Whether you think it should be or not, whether you think the canonical authors were homophobes or not, there's not really a logical way of getting to that point.

Then again, Elton John isn't famous for his logic, his theological background or being a subject matter expert in historical homosexuality.
 
BTW, I think it's oddly fun that when I write posts in the OT forum the ads change to accommodate what I'm writing. Right now it says "Jesus Loves You". When I wrote a post about Hitler and Germany in the 30's, there was an ad about the New Neo-Nazi Order. Way OT, but it's my observation.

Did the bible actually say that homosexuality was a sin? I think its performing the act of ghey buttsecks that is the problem.
 
I thought back then, ghey buttsecks was all the rage. all those emporer dudes with the bath-houses and their catamites?
 
well, i think the main thing that Elton John thinks is that everyone who is compassionate, intellectual and sensitive to people's needs is gay. or all gays are compassionate, intellectual and sensitive to other people's needs.

I don't think it really is. I think its if you act on it, much like pre-maritial sex is a sin. Maybe "waton thoughts" are sins I suppose....so I would say that being gay is about as much sin as wanting to fuck someone then.
 
The bible is just a compilation of a bunch of stories from self-proclaimed prophets. It's also sin to shave.

Bible Verse:

did they speak English back in Jesus' time? i thought they were all speaking Italian? Or Latin?

there is a scripture about "looking at someone as having passion for her.. is already commiting adultery in your heart" :D But I see what point you are making.
