"Regular" season ending. Could be back for the playoffs.
Yeah.. No one says "season ending" unless it means post-season as well. The post-season is, after all, part of the 2017-2018 NBA season.

The Sixers are jinxed. Never seen a team with such good luck.

In related news, the NBA has announced a scheduling change. The Portland Trail Blazers will conclude their 2017-18 regular season by playing the Philadelphia 76ers seven consecutive times.

Commissioner Adam Silver explained the reason behind the scheduling change, "It's no secret that the Portland Trail Blazers have been the luckiest team in the league this year and they are the only team that has benefited from playing opponents who are missing their star players. We're just making it official."

He needs Horace Grant goggles for the playoffs. I'm hoping he is going to play. Since Philly is in my neck of the woods, I feel for that team and all the injury streaks they go on. ..

He'll probably wear a mask when he returns.

Shit, I almost always look forward to watching Embiid and Simmons play a couple times a week. Well.... Trust The Process!

I remember when the NBA wouldn't allow James to wear his black mask. What a stupid ruling.
For once, I agree with you on something!!

That carbon-fiber mask was bad-ass! NBA could have made a mint on selling and licensing them if they had let Lebron do all the marketing heavy-lifting for them.

Didn't the same thing happen to Buck Williams (Karl Malone's elbow?) in the playoffs and he hardly missed any time?

Buck was one tough cookie.

They didn’t want him looking like a super hero.

This is horrible. I was looking forward to Embiid in playoffs. They've been playing so well. Hopefully he's better by the 14th.

I'm pretty sure he'll be fine. He'll probably have to play with a facial mask, but he should be okay by the playoffs.

I am almost surprised that Fultz didn't have a season ending injury as well with all the bad luck the Sixers seem to go through.

Bad luck? Some might call it karma given all the fucking tanking they've done to get those high draft picks.

You're thinking of Brian Grant.

You sure about that? Malone elbowed Grant in the mouth, but I don't think he broke his eye socket.

I remember it being the same series where Duck got his hand broken on a jump shot, where no foul was called.

Malone elbowed Grant above the eye. He didn't break his eye socket. I don't believe Malone ever injured Buck.

Memories are funny things, but as I recall (I was at that game) Malone came down and purposely elbowed Grant on the way down, opening a cut over his eye? I don't recall a broken cheek bone at all. Maybe he did the same to Buck, IDK.
