4) Artificial Intelligence tipping point (skynet!)
5) Global Warming (biblical floods)
6) Global nuclear war (fire and brimstone)
7) Bioengineered disaster (e.g. some virus kills us all, especially a genetically engineered one)
8) Solar storms (fire and brimstone)
9) Super volcanoes (fire and brimstone)
Those just off the top of my head.
We must destroy our civilization to avoid many of these things. That's what we're told. At least provide plenty of funding for research so the "scientists" don't go hungry.
