I worked the Blazer Security / Moda Center from February 2004 to Septemember 2013. You can find my picture on the roll up door at A7 when the Blazers beat the Lakers in the 2009 season? I am walking onto the court. It's time to move on to better security jobs as the security staff there is paid under $10 an hour.

I hope a good new opportunity is in the wings or soon materializes.

Gramps...

WTF?! They only pay their security $10 an hour?!?! That's robbery!

Good luck finding a new job. Best of luck

So are you expected to take a bullet for the players, if there is a shooter in the RG? $10 an hour is bs, regardless of your answer. Best of luck finding a better paying job.

Go Blazers

Just what is a better paying job these days? I mean seriously, At most jobs they under pay you and they just want more and more out of you.

Are you the female in the picture?

I see you all the time. You always look so serious . . . I wouldn't mess with you.

Anyways, wish I knew that was you last year, would have given you a few "Nate Doggggg"

I would see him telling all the groupies that he was Patty Mills!

cool, now I can tell people I know black people! :MARIS61:

Were you working through a security agency or for the Blazers directly? I would hope the Blazers would treat a 9 year employee better than <$10/hr.

He's the guy in the background, n'est-ce pas?

Was it a full time job, or a few hours on game days?

Note to self: Blazer security is underpaid and can be most likely bribed.

File that with the Guinness Book of Records. No one else has ever stayed 9 7/12 years at the same job in order to make $9 7/12 per hour.

So with you being a Blazers fan and all, was it hard to focus on your job when the game was going on. Was there a rule about not watching the on-court action when you were on duty? Just curious.

Well I'm not sure if I agree with this. In my opinion people bounce around from job to job to much thinking there's going to be something better at the end of the road and that's the problem.

We are/were a security agency that has a contract with the Rose Garden / Moda Center. These contracts are usually multi-year contracts and sometimes yearly.
Its the security agency's management that decides our wages not the Rose Garden / Moda Center.
