Did you catch this article on ESPN's NBA page today:

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/pag...659/how-lebron-james-make-team-tamper-reality

This sentence nearly made me blow my breakfast all over my keyboard:

"From Davis to Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving to Kawhi Leonard, Klay Thompson to Damian Lillard -- no matter who was on the floor with James, fans at home could spend the game dreaming about what they'd look like playing alongside him in a Lakers uniform. "

Yeah, that's what I spent the All-Star Game dreaming about.

I swear some of these sports writers are as bad as national media reporters.

I just vomited

I could see Durant, AD, and Kyrie joining him...maybe Thompson

I saw LeBron completely fail to lead or even motivate an effort from his team Sunday.

It took Damian Lillard to light the spark that erased a 20 point deficit and seal the convincing win.

Bron is 34.

The Lakers might not even make the playoffs.

Next season at age 35, how much does he have left in his tank?

The Lakers are a short-term situation - If that. Even with Lebron, their title window is non-existent.

5 of the 6 players mentioned on that list are on a team better than Lakers with Lebron. and the 6th is Davis who is on contract for two more seasons.

This ain't happening.

Yes, and he's not just 34. He's an OLD 34 in terms of the number of games and minutes he's played. Kobe started to break down when we was 34, and he's about the most similar I can think of in terms of age/wear and tear.

It all depends on if LeBron avoids serious injuries. If he stays relatively healthy I think LeBron will still be the best player in the league at 38.

LA Media Whores workin' overtime to find something to hold their "DREAMS" on. Delusional Laker fans can keep dreaming.

Dude! Where the hell have you been?!?!

Talking about age was your jam, so I’m not surprised that this is what brought you back.

I hope you stick around again!

First off, F ESPN.

However, LBJ has gone to extraordinary lengths to keep his body in great shape - he's really pushed the state of the art (and literally spent millions). So, I don't think comparing him to other players his age is useful.

Lastly, did I say F ESPN? In case I didn't, F ESPN, and the national media in general.

I could see Dame in the purple and gold.
I don’t disagree with my man to be honest. I’d be very sad if it happened.

Dame is a winner, and he’s given a lot here so far. If we can’t legitimately compete or land some prime talent I could unfortunately see him going to LA to play with Bron, AD, and whoever else buys into that team (could see them going for Klay). Feel like there’s been a lack of direction, almost like the cake has been baking too long.

Ultimately LA will acquire some big names simply because it is the Lakers, and they have Lebron.

A new window of opportunity opened up for many players when Lebron went to LA. So honestly F Lebron for trying to rebuild the Laker franchise... why would he do it? Celtics hate? Warriors hate? Blazers hate? Why would you do it Lebron!?!?!?!

He got some heavy miles on him and even Kobie (whom many thought was the best conditioned player) began to break down around near Lebron age.
The Western conference is a much tougher conference than what he's been accustom too.

True, but LeBron is a tank.

True, but LeBron is a tank.
He is for sure..If he can play at a high level for another 4 years I will be amazed. He better get a couple more super stars around him or he'll have to do it all himself and that won't work.

Yes, what every NBA fan desperately wants and needs is for Dame, Durant, Davis, Kawhi, and Klay to join Lebron James and play for the Lakers.

Because, as we all know, all NBA fans dream of is for the Lakers to dominate the rest of the league. Including their home town teams.

Riiight......

Can someone please Gillooly the fucktards at ESPN?

Thnx

You know, I think Dame has in a round about way said he rather be The Star in a small market than play second fiddle in a big market.

Unfortunately the Lakers get ratings regardless of whats going on. Its just like the NFL and the Cowboys, although in very different lights since Trades mean so much more in the NBA then the NFL. So every little thing is talked about because people who love the Lakers want to hear everything about it and the people who hate the Lakers will watch and listen just out of spite. ESPN selling out for Ratings instead of Journalism for years.
