well if you project out his preseason stats to starter type minutes (34 MPG from the 23.7 he averaged), he only averages 11+ Rbs and 16.5 Points on 58% shooting... I hope these struggles don't last too longin what alternate universe did oden have a rough pre-season?

How are the Raptors better than the Blazers?
truth be told, not much of the PT in the 2 Kings games wasn't garbage timeBad extrapolation! We all know that Greg's stats only came during 'garbage' time and hence cannot be properly projected into regular season full time minutes.
Oh, wait....it wasn't garbage time. Hmmm.....
Gramps...
in what alternate universe did oden have a rough pre-season?
ding ding ding ding... thats exactly how ESPN often gets their stories. Here in the Bay Area Tom Tolbert has relayed on his radio show that announcers prep for the games by talking to the local Beat Writer. How great is it that nationally hoop fans get their impression of the club via Quick and Canzano? That was definitely weird. I guess the guy looked at his stats without considering the minutes played.
Or maybe the point is that Oden didn't really play that many minutes, which is concerning because of him missing an entire season.
Or maybe he just read the Quick article where he described Oden as a little disappointing.
those sorts of stats plus health is about all Blazer optimists are hoping for this season from big Greg.Anyway, if Oden can put up 16 points/11 rebs for the season, he'll be right around where I projected him. Far from disappointing
I know, I know: Oden had a rough preseason and eight of Portland's top 10 players are 25 or younger. But after the Blazers played .500 ball without Oden and Rudy Fernandez, where's the fun in preaching patience?

surprised people are complaining about the raps. they're good.. and now Calderon gets all the minutes + whatever JO gets them not having to be the man.
My main complaint are the Suns. How are they that high in any power ranking? more like 20
This is one person's opinion,we'll find out soon. I would say we are in the 8-12 range. I wouldn't rank Toronto, Mavericks and the 76ers ahead of us. I guess we'll find out tomorrow...
What will tomorrow night prove, good or bad?

We can measure our progress vs. another team? What will 15 games prove? Better than summer league or preseason.
How are the Raptors better than the Blazers?
I wouldn't say Oden's preseason was disappointing at all. Did they expect him to come in and drop 20 and 12 every night?
