Saw this news early in the AM had a lot of personal business to take care of prior to checking MLB TV. I do remember an ESPN article probably by Marchand that if the Yankees di not win this season that Girardi would be gone. At the time I thought that was a stupid article, no one knew for sure how this team would turn out. So it turns out after all that Cashman was the dirty Son of A Bitch sent to deliver the message. Like that old West Song, "the dirty little coward who shot Mr. Howard and laid poor Jessee in his grave. Well Cash old buddy right up your Hershey Highway. Hope to see you at a ST game in '18 so I can tell you face to face what I think. You did not give Girardi your best efforts but Girardi gave back his best. What goes around comes around.

Saw a list of perspective candidates that had A-holes name included. Sixty Two years of fandom would go up in smoke if they named that franchise filth manager. Ibanez, yep he'd probably be a good choice.

Just went back and checked out Ibanez hitting those two bombs in game 3 '12 ALDS, one as a pinch hitter for A-hole.

Josh Paul
Kevin Long
Jay Bell
Tim Naehring
Reggie Willits

The only one I know is Long.
 
Jay Bell was a decent infielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates when they had those Leyland Managed Teams in the early nineties. Now manages the Tampa Team.

Screw 'em all.... non are worthy, and only one would I bother to interview at all, ie Bell, but with reservations. Imo, the Kids have to get their heads out of their asses, and try to land someone who has the experience grooming young kids. Not only that, I'd like to only see a Veteran MLB Mgr' at the helm.....

The kids screwed themselves, imho.....back to calling the dick Trashman....

Bell imo, would be the one name here worth giving the job a shot, but still I'd rather see a proven successful MLB Mgr, not a Minor Lg'r.....Sure Bell knows the game, but is he enough to take on this team....

Naehring, fk him, in the front office of the Yanx, and an ex-Bosox enemy; imo, Managing is beyond his realm; any time the Reds fire a guy of his position, and haven't had shit for a team to show for his efforts:...pass

Willit's, not enough experience, pass

Josh Paul, lmao, might as well interview Bill Murray for the Job, owner of the Charlotte River Dogs, (tongue in cheek)....pass big time

Long, imo is not ready for the Mgr's job, imo....pass-

bring on some serious names for replacing Joe, a big mistake imo-Yanx....

Everyone calm down. These are guess lists from reporters. Before you guys panic lets see who cashman actually interviews and subsequently picks to be manager.

Tim Naehring is not interested as per Andrew Marchand.
