I believe he leaves a lot of $$ on the table unless it's in a sign and trade.

Dear LaMarcus, I hear Sacramento is nice and they have an awesome coach!

"He's gone," a Dallas Mavericks cheerleader close to Aldridge said. "There's a 99.9 percent chance that he's out of Portland."/QUOTE]

It'd be Chris Broussard-esque for him to rip the inside sources off a message board. lol

Interesting that Atlanta is on LMA's list. I hadn't heard that before.

I wouldn't be too upset if Lamarcus leaves. I love LA but I honestly don't see him ever leading the Blazers to a championship. He's never led his team to the second round of the playoffs except for once and that took Dame's miracle shot. It's better that we retool now instead of playing out a couple more 50 win, one-and-done seasons, and waste our chances at a big free agent. Hand the reigns fully to Dame and see what he can do.

99.9% of ESPN can go screw themselves.

Lol if he goes to LA, the vitriol he would face in Portland would be palpable. He would be scared for his life whenever he comes to the city

Chris Broussard is an idiot. That being said, all the reasons listed are legit. Never attracted big time FA, Portland not clise to Texas, weather sucks in Portland during season. There have been reports for years that Aldridge has felt under appreciated by the team....maybe there is something to that? They chose Roy over him for marketing, then Oden, now Lillard. Why not just say "ok, fuck it. I'll go play somewhere else and have just as good or better chance of winning"

What pisses me off is that Aldridge led the Blazers to believe that he was staying a year ago at this time. They could have made a great trade if they had known he was going to leave. And what about all that talk of being the best Blazer of all time, LaMarcus?

He is the plan C franchise guy after Roy and Oden.

I'm not surprised. It'll be interesting to see what Neil does today.

I fully expect at least one more trade.

That's because he was the third best prospect at the time. BFD. He's clearly the #1 now. If he holds grudges because of some perceived slight years ago, then fuck him. Mentally weak POS

Wow! Well as I said on another thread. If LA goes to Lakers, he's dead to me. I still find this extremely hard to believe, but hey who thought Batum would be traded?

If it's true then he will be eaten alive in another market. Not every fanbase is as forgiving and loyal as Portland's. He's going to regret leaving. Even if it's to go play at home. Grass isn't always greener on the other side.

At least Love had the decency to not lie to the city of Minneapolis.

You know, for the first time since getting recruited to Texas LMA is "THE" big deal. I think he is just reveling in all the attention he is getting right now. Thus the "unappreciated" stuff starts to come out even more.

Honestly, if he leaves, I hope it is to the Lakers or Knicks so he can be eaten alive by the fans and media. Be careful what you wish for.

Dame is the face of the franchise. That's not necessarily the fault of the team. Dame has an Adidas contract. Dame was on the cover of nba live. He's simply more marketable. Aldridge is a quiet guy and he's not very good at interviews. He's not flashy. He needs to stop whining because this won't change in Los Angeles or Dallas or wherever else he thinks he will go.

Ya know I think you right ya know

I am wondering how many of these guys like Love and LMA sign 1 or 2 year deals so they can sign mega deals when the cap skyrockets.

They may actually be leaving more money on the table signing max deals this year. Can be a huge risk if you get injured though.

I wonder if klay Thompson was ever on the table two years ago?
