Notre Dame makes a goal line stand.... no video.

Derek Jeter breaks his ankle.... no video.

Just garbage.

Well, I wasn't watching the baseball game, because I wasn't looking to fall asleep, but I did watch the ND goal line stand, and they definitely kept the back out of the end zone... twice.

If there's any controversy about that, I'm calling BS.

You know the times in football where technicalities overrule what should have actually happened on the field? The player makes an amazing play, and the refs find some bullshit way to bring it back... I was worried that was going to happen in the ND/Stanford game, but the refs actually got it right for once.

A goal line stop is an extremely hard play to execute, and ND did it TWICE. They were rewarded, rightfully so, with a win.

Not to mention, if they had just played Rees the entire game, it wouldn't have even been close. I don't know how long Kelly is going to keep up this Golson experiment, but if they want to contend for a BCS title, they need to start Tommy Rees, as big of a douche as he may be.

Stepfan Taylor clearly scored on 4th down.

Stanford was robbed.

Really?

Of all the disputable calls of the year, that's what you have a problem with?

ND stuffed Stanford TWICE.

If anything, the rules about what is and what is not a touchdown are too forgiving, and given the restrictive rules, ND still stopped the Cardinal.

Not to mention that, for the one plight that a Cardinal fan might have against the ruling, there are at least two or three rules in Notre Dame's favor on that play.

Watched it live when they showed MULTIPLE ANGLES of the play. He clearly crossed the goal-line before he was down.

Disagree. Watched the game live, as well, and no, it was not a touchdown.

None of this changes the fact that ESPN sucks!

Agree.

Watched the game live and in live action was amazed they didn't give Taylor the 2nd effort, where he clearly stretched the ball across the goal line. They can say all they want about "no perfect camera angle" but that was a touchdown.

Yup. Easy call.

Listening to the announcers try to act like it wasn't was hilarious.

Of course the game was on NBC.

Hard call really. Was his forward progress stopped before he broke the plane, or was he not down when the ball crossed the goal line 'cause he wasn't touching the ground?

ESPN does indeed suck. It's kind of like McDonalds and Wal Mart, they are all the biggest in their respective fields, but they all suck ass in reality.

To me, it's not a question of forward progress, rather than whether or not his left elbow hit the ground before he reached the ball across with his right arm. Check the vid at :20.

It does suck.

Do we really need an of coverage on SC after a MNF game going through play-by-play with Steve Young and Dilfer?

It was a regular season game. There was a winner and a loser. How much do you really need to break down?
