He just said Aldridge is the 3rd best player in the NBA definitively. This is so awesome.

A week of national TV exposure goes a very long way apparently!

Forgive me for being out of the loop, but who is Jason Whitlock? Is he highly respective, or just some Henry Abbot?

He's legit. 2 legit 2 quit. You remember Pardon the Interruption on ESPN?

Pretty well-respected Kansas City star sportswriter. Also a notorious race-baiter.

Apparently I just think all black guys look alike...

Yeah, there's been a few instances this past year where he's spoken up pretty loud and clear. In his defense, he doesn't simply write all about "the black man being held down". He has taken perspective/agreement from the other side as well.

I expect double teams on Aldridge and Houston will play more free flowing basketball not playing inside out as much. Harden will get going early. The Rockets will do major adjustments.

This was on PTI. Jason was filling in for Tony. So it was Wilbon AND Whitlock.

So we need to lie to ourselves to be happy?

You clearly don't understand the point of the thread.

It's cool because a nationally respected journalist thinks highly of our player. Who cares if he's right or wrong. It's cool that he said it.

Just once, you could look at the glass as half full.

The Blazers won. His glass IS half empty.

I know one thing. He's the best player in the playoffs so far. No denying that. Enjoy the moment, MM.
I'll say it again: Enjoy the moment.

There is no sense in following sports if you can't be happy when your team does something good. Especially if you've suffered years of anguish waiting, hoping, dreaming and yearning for that something good to happen.

Victory is fleeting, so make the most of it for the little time we have it in our grasp.

Feels great knowing our team is up 2-0 with two games one being only one day away to be played at the Moda Center.

So it's only ok to discuss National writers if they are positive? What if they are both positive and negative?

Please help me understand the unwritten rules of the forum
