I don't understand why some of you guys love to break my balls every time i make a small mistake in a language which isn't my native language.

I actually do want to get correction via PM because i want to get better at this language, but i hate these rude, condescending jabs in public.
It was meant as a good-natured jest, not a rude condescension. Your skills are such that it is easy to forget that English isn't your primary language.

Thanks, sorry if i was being paranoid.

English isn't your first language? You certainly had me fooled. Your writing is better than most of us who spend our time on this board. Of course, it's not a real high bar we set. So, if you don't mind me asking, what is your first language and where are you from?

Wait... english isn't your first language? Had me fooled.

Thanks, guys.
Sometimes i feel a little incompetent to write on these boards so i appreciate your posts.

Hebrew, Israel. (pretty please: no politics discussions).

Funny story: a few months ago i saw a guy wearing a Blazers hoodie at my neighborhood's basketball court, turns out he's a Blazers fan too! and we have the same first name lol.

This is awesome and a failure all at once.. Why hasn't this guy joined the forum yet?? Come on man, step up your game!!!! :)

Rumor is that the King are going to offer Boogie a $200 mil contract - $40 mil/year seems ungodly steep for ANYONE.

Sorry to belabor this point, but since we still are in a sort of sticker shock with these contracts, it's worth visiting some of these other numbers for wing players given out last year and the year before.

These are salaries for this season:

Wade -- 23.2 mil
Beal -- 22.1 mil
Parsons -- 22.1 mil
Barnes -- 22.1 mil
Batum -- 20.9 mil
Crabbe -- 18.5 mil
Deng -- 18 mil
Matthews -- 17.1 mil
Fournier -- 17.1 mil
Turner -- 16.3 mil
Bazemore -- 15.7 mil
Middleton -- 15.2 mil
Jeff Green -- 15 mil
Carroll -- 14.2 mil
Ginobili-- 14 mil
Crawford -- 13.2 mil
JR Smith -- 12. 8 mil
Afflalo -- 12.5 mil
Gordon -- 12.4 mil
Lee -- 11.2 mil
Solomon Hill -- 11.2 mil
Austin Rivers -- 11 mil

Joining this list (probably near the top) in the next year will be: KCP, Redick, Porter, Roberson, etc. And in 2018, you will have Gay, Gallinari, Ariza, Bradley, Lavine, Will Barton, Andrew Wiggins, etc all potentially making close to or above 20 mil.

Come this summer and next, people WILL stop ridiculing these deals.

That's still not a full time player. He split time with Larry Milbourne that year.

Now you're just making my point for me. That Crabbe, like Mendoza is a 1-trick pony that has one skill that keeps him around in spite of his other deficiencies.

Again, that 1979 season you keep referring to, Mendoza batted .198 for a last place team. I don't want the NBA equivalent of Mario Mendoza starting for my team, because if he is, it means my team isn't very good.

BNM
BNM, can't you stop arguing with Denny and come over to the trade thread and explain why Milsap would be a good deal. I think some guys can play well when they are old (I played competitive rec soccer into my early 50's) so I am intrigued by him. I remember you had some posts earlier on why we should go after him.

I really thought Turner played well last night. Maybe it was Cleveland (he seems to have a bit of beef with LeBron) but I thought he was really distributing well. And he comes up with some great defensive plays (like just ripping the ball away from people on drives) that we can always use. Yes, he's still a bit of a brickmeister (and his bricks tend to be off the front of the rim, leading to fastbreak points by the other team) but if he could turn it around we could really use that.

He needs to stop with the top of key and wing threes. He doesn't have the shooting form for such a long shot.

Stick to the corners!

He is doing a lot better. I just have one quibble. Crabbe has got himself inspired again and really works hard on getting open going in the direction of the basket. Turner sees him well if he has a good angle. But sometimes Crabbe has his man beat by 3 feet, usually when he is obscured from Crabbe a little and Crabbe is moving on a straight line away from Turner. Once on a backdoor when Turner was out near the sideline and once a dive right down the middle when Turner was at the top of the key. This is a difficult pass because it requires reaching around the player guarding you but I hope Turner and Crabbe can practice this some.

Same with Aminu. And neither of them should shoot more than 2-3 of them per game. Only Dame, CJ, and Crabbe should be allowed to put up 5+...Meyers on those rare nights when he's stroking them.

This is another good thing about Harkless. He knows his limitations. Sticks to the corners.

He's shooting almost 46% from the field his last twenty games.
