Even in China, Yi as an All-Star is Controversial

Yi Jianlian is only 140,000 votes behind Kevin Garnett in balloting for a starting spot in the All-Star game…and 300,000 ahead of Chris Bosh. Now, a Chinese youth publication is taking a look at whether Yi deserves the spot, pitting arguments from pro’s and con’s. Beijing Youth Daily also alleges that some fans “resorted to manipulating computer software in an attempt to give him enough votes.”

North American people have to realize, the majority of Chinese basketball fans don't believe Yi is All-star level material, but still vote for him for other reasons perhaps. My reasoning was that I dislike KG's etiquette and hoped someone replaced him on the starting line-up. I voted for Bosh but it looks like he won't get the start over Garnett, which is a shame because I feel as though Bosh is a better person and just as good a player as Garnett.

The problem with your reasoning and an important fact you happen to over look is that while you may vote the AS starters, you don't determine their playing time. The coach DOES. KG will be an All Star regardless of your hate for him AND he will play major minutes if he wants to. You have no control over that. The only thing you are doing is preventing a more deserving player than Yi a spot on the All Star team.

Suck it up because despite what you believe, you actually have NO impact on KG's All Star status...................oh and losing with class. That's classic!!!!!!

I agree with you. Bosh is far superior in comparison to Yi in every aspect. But I just want to see someone other than KG starting in the All-star, even if that means an undeserving Yi. With the actions of KG lately, I'm not quite sure who is more deserving than the other.

Net have a better record than the Raptors. Raptors getting whooped on by the Bucks with Bogut hurt is pathetic. Bosh end up looking stupid. Raptors are now the biggest joke in the league.

No he doesn't but they are fans of his so they will vote for him. This reminds me of the game where Raptor fans were yelling MVP after bosh made a shot.
