One thing we spoke about was that in a series every single game matters. The Yankees will look back at game two because they should've been coming home up 2-0. Too many blown opportunities which became a theme of the series.

I'm glad that they at least put up a fight and did not allow Verlander and Cole to dominate them in any game.

But yeah, if I said I'm not disappointed, I'd be in denial.

Yankees simply failed to hit and the Astros had more three run homers. Frankly, Houston overall didn't hit great in the series either. You can't have what Encarnacion did to them in this series as an automatic middle of the lineup out.

would have been nice to hear something from MLB regarding this story. Its been a month and nothing...no news..no update....no hearing...totally fucked the Yankees

Al, this isn't on MLB. This is totally on German. I suspect at the speed the suspension happened and no protest from the players assoc who aren't pansies or the yankees says that whatever happened was pretty terrible. Losing german hurt, but I thought our pitching was fine and what cost us the series was the lack of a clutch hit in the too many scenarios and opportunities we had to list. And not as an excuse although I can see it looked on as such sanchez and incarnation had no at bats the last month and no rehab available along with hicks for 2 months and came back to face nothing but top pitching. Of course Mr. Glass (stanton) getting hurt doing anything and the yanks kowtowing to him and not taking him off the god damn roster for an able bodies replacement also didn't help. Very disappointing. I hate that friggin midget but you got to admit he's a hell of a player and I wish we had him on our team. Very disappointing but the two best teams met and almost went the distance again. The world series will be a joke and should be a sweep unless the astros get bored and give a game to the nationals.

Oh im not saying anything other than lets hear their findings. When did this happen...why isnt there any police report..is he suspended for the year? The yankees deserve to know as soon as possible so they are not in limbo.

I'm thinking the yanks and German probably already know and the announcement sometime after the World Series.

I heard one of the Umpires Eric Cooper died at the age of 52 during the ALDS.

Don't mind me I know this is The Yankee Thread but I usually don't watch Football and too tired to post another Thread.

So did The Raiders.

...thanx for reminding me. While GB is tough at home the Raiders had a legit shot at winning that game. The game turned just before the 1st half when Carr fumbled into the end zone while tryin to score a TD which not only resulted in not scoring the TD but it turned the ball over to GB who then scored a TD of their own...this was a 14 point swing...and in the 2nd half Carr threw into triple coverage in the end zone resulting in another turnover and another 14 point swing.

Very frustrating game to watch, especially with the ongoing "pussification" of the NFL (sorry Lil)...QBs are no longer allowed to be tackled below the waste anymore.

After the series ended, it felt like a rabbit punch right to the groin. No more fun and games. We have to concentrate on all the mistakes they made, so this forum lives on.

From the high of the DJ homer to the season ending the next inning was certainly tough. Unless you win it all getting eliminated is never fun. At the very least they should've made it to a game seven. Can't change what happened. They just need to make the right moves so they're in a better position next year.
