No takers for Felton? I suppose they want to wait and sign him as a free agent after this season. I thought a playoff team might want to rent him for the rest of the year.

But Portland can't possibly give this guy a contract after the season he's had.....oh well....

He has no value. He's a free agent after the season, and the league knows we were desperate to trade him, so why give up value for someone they can just sign in the offseason if they really want him?

Hell, they probably won't have to wait any longer than this weekend to sign him!

Exactly. We had no leverage. Teams know he will be gone, possibly as soon as tomorrow. Why waste assets when you can sign him outright? Oh well, he'll be gone and that's all that matters.

Apparently we could have got a 2nd rounder for him. Why the hell wouldn't you do that?

I hope so. The Blazers have to lose 2 players to get to 15. I'm guessing they'll be Okur and Williams. But I wouldn't be upset if we waived ALL the players we got in the trade AND Felton AND Crawford.

If Crawford was waived, I imagine there's even a chance a team would claim him off waivers. I've never ever seen that happen (because the team that claims him also gets his current contract) - it's always that they wait till he clears waivers and sign him to a minimum contract, so the original team's stuck paying his salary. But with Crawford, I can see someone thinking he's worth what's left of $5M for this season. But what team has enough capspace?

Maybe they didn't want any extra salary on their cap this summer? A couple of lottery picks is one thing, but a second rounder seems like a waste.... but I guess it's still an asset that could have been had. :dunno:

The cancer players need to go. Camby is gone. Wallace is gone. Now we need to remove Crawford and Felton, but only Felton could be cut. That's why I'm saying we should just tell Crawford to sit out the rest of the year and get him away from our young guys.

LOL yeah if that playoff team doesn't want to make the playoffs! LOL

When we hire D'Antoni, Felton will get back to his almost-all-star level...

Via Twitter. No more details.

Darren Andrade:Hearing all proposals for Ray Felton were for 2nd round picks only. Felton's stock is at an all time low with few teams wanting to touch
