I am sticking with my original pick of Friday 1/10, however I now feel it will be Monday to allow the interviewing of all new HOF to conclude. But I'm on record, 1/10...

What is yours.

...without picking an actual date, I do think it will come soon.

...btw, just saw this; http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/sto...ussed-accepting-lesser-suspension-source-says

"It's not just a matter of money," ...bull f'n shit.

There is no way he will do this. Forget the money for a second. If he was to accept a deal per say, he would then be admitting to being guilty of the claims against him. He would be opening himself up to lawsuits from the Yankees claiming damages to the brand and to his marketability that would be hindered if another PED issue would arise. The Yankees would argue that they can't recoup their investment wouldn't they.... This is in my opinion just more posturing from one side or the other.

Hey Rick, been feeling a little crappy lately and might have to have surgery. Should find out in the next two weeks so haven't been on the computer much.

I hope its nothing serious. Keep us up to date.

...but if he accepted even a one game suspension, wouldn't that also be tantamount to admitting the same guilt?

Exactly, that why in the end I feel he is all in, appeal, injunction, and whatever until he becomes aware that his attorneys are costing him a large percentage of his wealth. I think this is a battle he can't win. He has to be afraid of criminal prosecution if he was ever to testify. And in my opinion, he can't win outright unless he testifies, and he knows the truth and that is why he walked out of the arbitration hearing.

...I dunno, I think maybe reality is finally sinking in...he's likely spent a fortune on legal fees already, and like the article states, if he tries to fight the ruling in federal court it will cost another $10 Mil. And from everything I've read, even if he does try to get it overturned his chances of success are next to nil.

...as the saying goes, "only a fool goes to court".

...we go back a few years, Jill...and from what I remember, you've always been a fighter and a survivor. Whatever difficulties you may be having, I'm sure you'll find a way to overcome them.

Yeah 59, female issues and I will leave it at that. If I will be out of touch for a bit I will let you know. As far as a rod is concerned I want to find out tomorrow. This has dragged on long enough.

Oh no, I'm sorry... I'll keep you in my prayers

Hey Jill, good luck. Hell there are 3 or 4 guys here that have the same female issues lol...

I saw that link too... and if I were Selig, I would pull the reduction possibility off the table

You see Hammer, I feel it just the opposite, I feel MLB leaked that, cause a win is a win, its like bait. If he accepts a lessor ban then in essance he is admitting guilt. That is what is so important now, it is all about liability and exposure for all.

...I don't think MLB leaked the info...Wallace Mathews pretty much said that the "source" was from ARod's camp.

...ARod may eventually take a "buy out" from the Yanx but I doubt the Yanx will pursue legal action trying to void his contract based on damaged to the brand...though I would love to see it. I also doubt the Brewers try the same thing with Braun even though he's (kinda sorta) admitted guilt.

I can see what you are saying, but he has done so much to hurt the sport now, a plea deal seems like the easy way out...

I will be shocked if this egomaniac takes a plea deal. He would get killed by everyone and sensitive little A-roid knows it. Can't wait to see how fast the yanks write this guy a check to get rid of him once the final decision comes down.

I was hoping today would be the day but I guess not. What is taking so long? Get on with it already.

We were off by a day Jill, but I knew they (MLB) would like to bury the reaction as much as possible using the NFL Playoffs as cover. Arod can go play in Japan, lol.

Did I miss something?

Never mind I just saw it. So I guess, "I don't know" is on third.
