I see that Jabari started today for the Sixers, and Trendon Watford is a rotation bench player for them. I was puzzled both times when we offloaded them. Jabari's best role for us was smallball center, and there's certainly minutes for that these days.

Meanwhile somebody on Reddit was asking why CJ dropped off a cliff this year. Playing for the Wizards when your contract ends at the end of the year and you know they have no interest in re-signing you will do that to a man. We certainly could do with a player with his skillset on offense - he was pretty much automatic inside the circle. (Having said that, Khris Middleton is in exactly the same situation with the Wizards and if they were both bought out and we could only sign one, I'd go for Middleton.)

Are there any ex-Blazers you carry a torch for? I'll always love Josh Hart - he was a light in a dark time, even if he was only briefly a Blazer.

Jabari started their last game as well. Watford is their 6 man pretty much, he's putting up good numbers. I wonder if they've converted Jabari from a 2 way to a roster spot since he's starting for them?

Zach Collins. Dude has a ‘rude and this team needs a guy like that. Last I hear he was a bull

This may not qualify as "ex-Blazers in the league", but it is an "ex-Blazer in a frivolous article". Way to go Sebass!

Watford just bumped Jabari Walker out of the starting lineup for Philly

We had old CJ in the first half and new CJ in the second yesterday. 1st half points 23, 2nd half points 2. 33 minutes played. Feel bad for the guy cause he’s still got that in him. CJ really would be an insane player off the bench RN. I would be 100% down with him signing on a vet contract here.

Can’t help but feel like having Dame has always been about more than what he gives you on the court. Say what you want about it, if we didn’t have Dame, Melo would have never came here. Figure we would be high on CJ’s list of places to sign a vet contract.

Actually, with Dame and Jrue here - I think we might have more pull in Unrestricted FA than a lot of people might think. CJ is an UFA next off season… Anyone wanna make a prediction that he signs here? Those Shae/Toumani contracts are going to end up opening up a lot of cap space to be able to sign people like CJ in FA. I’d take current CJ off the bench just to be a floor spacer. Always be able to count on a guy like CJ in the playoffs to knock down some big shots. Being back somewhere where he could have that confidence back is definitely going to play an impact on his FA decision. Really just went from the Blazers to some bad teams, and a team in a bad situation with the Pelicans. Wizards are no better… Maybe even worse. CJ probably alright there just earning a check and playing, but there’s no way he’s actually about it. He’s going to want to play somewhere competitive, and I don’t think he will be the type to complain if he only gets limited minutes or what his contract looks like. Portland seems like a good suitor for him in FA even if it weren’t for the ties to here.

The comment section

“CJ will put the clamps on you then teach you about financial literacy after the game”

“I forgot they banished him to the Washington realm…”

“Steve Urkle going crazy”

I think CJ needs to look for the place that pays him the most. This is his last paycheck. The only way we get him is if the Wiz buy him out this year, and then we can get him at least for this year because he's already been paid. But if we thought him and Dame were a bad defensive backcourt together when they were at their athletic peaks...

Simons has 23 points in 10 minutes so far. Half of Boston’s points.

Ah, he's having one of his "Anfurnace" games. Kind of funny that it's against the Magic, given how convinced we were that they should trade for him.

Anfernee looking very good for Boson in the fourth. Not just hitting shots, making some very solid passes. If only he could defend worth a damn

Watford flirts with a triple double. Good player.

That's nice. Imagining a scenario in which Melo had never come here... Yeah... I like that...
