You must have missed the posts I've made saying they will not be winning much this year. My win projection would disagree with you here.

Sucking this year doesn’t mean we suck forever. Look at OKC back in the day.

2007- draft Durant and suck
2008- draft RW and suck again
2009- draft Harden and win 50 games
2010-11 reach WCF
2011-12 reach Finals

Pick up solid talent three straight drafts and we won’t have to wait forever

Yeah this is what happens when these clowns just start a thread for a random thought all offseason….they thinks its ok. This place used to be a lot more organized. Miss that as much as I miss the playoffs.

THIS IS SOMETHING THAT CAN’T BE STATED ENOUGH! Dame was special for us….didn’t just put up numbers…..So when you saw clowns on here all hyped up to trade him and throw a teenager out there and that we would be just fine. Blows my mind. Who knows how this kid is going to do, and I haven’t seen him play enough to even have a valid opinion on his game. Hoping he lives up to the high expectations thrown at him, but there is a reason Dame made that Top75 list and thousands and thousands didn’t.

I didn't expect much against the Clippers. They have three future HOF'ers and are title contenders if they stay healthy. I am more interested in how Portland plays against the bad teams up to teams vying for the play in. The kids might get lucky and catch a playoff team on an off night or when resting a star or two, but a 10 point loss is a great game against the playoff teams. I just want to see Scoot and Sharpe playing together, not Scoot and Simons. Completely ridiculous pairing.

Trick is to draft three players the caliber of Durant, Westbrook and Harden I guess?

I dont know what youre expecting here... were not even a month (just about) out of dame getting traded and you think someone was going to step and try to fill his shoes right away? Ant doesnt seem to be that type of player, same with sharpe to a point, and also very young. Scoot is new and young but could be that player just needs some seasoning/figuring out game speed, Ayton doesnt seem to have the capacity either and is also new.

I think these guys are going to take until the all star game at least to get a feel for each other and even then its going to be a struggle bus... hopefully someone will step up and take the keys but you got imagine a few of these guys are probably unsure about their future with the team, Ant, Grant, Brogdon are all players who potentially wont be on the team by trade deadline, possibly more who knows.

I think the only thing anyone has a point on is chauncey maybe not being the best coach to be undertaking all of this, which I kind of agree with but also want to give chauncey at least this season to see what he can actually do. Right now it looks terrible, and his track record isn't great but I also think that his roster setup wasnt really built for his kind of basketball he wants to play yet.... i think its closer but still a little bit away. Flip side to that is there a clear upgrade available for a coach even if he was to be fired? admittedly dont know much about what coaches could be available or not...
 
Rebuilding teams lose. A lot. Young teams lose. A lot. Rebuilding young teams…well, you get the idea. I understand people not liking those facts. I get that some people are going to say that stating those facts is “making excuses”. My only problem is with people who were calling for the rebuild the past couple of years and now are whining one game in about how much it sucks. Get used to it. We’re in for a bumpy ride the next few years.

I think you described my position exactly. I could not have said it better.
Those problems are exactly what i have a problem with.

agree won't be easy but we do have Simons, Grant & Sharpe that have played together.
