I agree that Babbitt should have an NBA future if people like Ryan Anderson and Steve Novak manage to stick. But it might not be with us.

Unfortunately I agree. I hope he signs with a shitty team because i would hate seeing him hitting big shots in the playoffs. He is not a guy who can create his own shot, but playing with really good teammates, he will make teams pay for leaving him alone. There is no doubt in my mind he will help spread the floor for some good team. If I were him I would choose the next team very wisely.

Jeffries didn't help us much but he is usually a stand up guy. I think we should have found some minutes for him last night in his (seemingly) last game with us.

It is our option (PORs) not his.

Stotts did a masterful job tanking that game despite the performances from LaMarcus and Lillard. Bringing in Jeffries might have been a little too obvious for the fans who paid to watch the game.

Hmmm... This is interesting. If Leonard actually puts forth the work, he could definitely get to that level. He is sooo young and only time will help out in that regard.

If that's the case, then maybe a stop gap center like Dalembert and possibly Jerm Oneal is enough?

Sucks, was hopeful to use his unguaranteed contract, but I believe I read recently he needed to be waived end of season to not guarantee the last 2.

The Trail Blazers have officially released Jared Jeffries, the team announced today (Twitter link). While the timing of the move may seem unusual, considering the Blazers' season is over, Jeffries' contract for next season would have become guaranteed had the team not cut him within the next five days.
