One of my friends took a Rubik Cube to school, and what happens? Everyone buys one! It's so stupid, everywhere you look you see a bunch of colored squares, it agitates me. So instead of this being just a little rant, I'll ask you guys...what fads have happened at your school that were either stupid or just made you go :doh: ?
 
Lol, I thought those were old after the 80's....I think I had one when I was like 7. They're dumb in my opinion, and I could never complete one...

right now all the girls at my school are wearing like these gay ass balet shoes or whatever those pointy shits with the whole top of your feet showing

Being a little gothic or emo and wearing black and playing muscial stuff and listening to rock. They are the bottom dwellers of my school and each day it seems like there are more and more of them. It makes me nervous, very nervous. I mean, I like rock, but this is some kind of cult and I am scared really.
 
my school is like 70% asian which means that trends proliferate throughout the school extremely quickly. God forbid that any asian kid do something that's different than what every single other asian is doing. Trends include: - wearing gold chains (I started this one at my school as a joke, lol) - Rubik's cubes (it's become like a f*cking drug at my school. "dude, were you caught cubin'?) - Magic card tricks (don't ask) - Deuces (the card game. every single asian started playing it all the time and getting really good at it one week) - spinning a pen around one's finger in creative ways - hacking one's nintendo DS to control torrents. - Joining track - Joining tennis - Joining swimming - Joining cross country - Joining model UN - being in AP Bio (there are 400 people taking AP bio this year.... there are 1300 people in the school)I could go on and on. It's just so random though, it's like all of a sudden one week I go to the school and the majority of the school is doing the exact same thing.

lol. a few friends of mine have rubiks cubes now. I play with them sometime. I can get ONE side.... in like 8 minutes. WOO
 
My Senoir year in high school there was a Rubiks Cube wave. I never did them. I never really had a problem with them. But I couldnt help but laugh at the people that had patterns on notebook paper drawn out

Another fad here in Puerto Rico is that the "popular" boys(as in MALE) use little girls or cartoons backpacks. Seriously, you walk by a dude and he looks all gangsta and then when he turns around he has a Dora The xplorer backpack...wtf?

backpack turtling is when u take the sh*t outta the backpack then flip it inside out and put it back in and zip it up...fun sh*t

Ballin!!! - Everyone says that. It gets so annoying.Another thing that annoys me is those white sunglasses girls always wear. They all want to fit in - it's pretty sad there's almost no more individuality anymore.
 
Energy Drinks...I took an energy drink to class for like 2 weeks in a row, and now about everyone gets one.

In my old school which was real small, I would always but this drink called Up n Go in the morning for a whole term. People started copying me on that. Another one was marbles. I brought like 5 marbles with me to school to throw at this annoyin ass kid then 2 days later evry1 was playin marbles..

It's silly. There's a huge group of black kids who wear the same Sponge Bob Square Pants backpack as one another... The same design, color, and everything! They even wear it the same way, which is one strap on one shoulder and the other strap just hanging low.</span>
