Comcast fucked over fans. The Blazers are trying to make the best of a bad deal negotiated by Larry Miller.

Takes two to tango. Although I guess we'll see how serious the Blazers are about making their games available when the deal ends. Speaking of, when is that?

Re: FUCK COMCAST

No, we don't need to have a Fuck Comcast sticky and I probably shouldn't have said what I did. I'll leave this here for a little bit but then I'm going to merge it in the thread you took the quotes from.

What would be more helpful is the Comcast deal is coming to an end soon, we need to give the Blazers a better idea of what we as fans want and what we think is fair. Things have changed drastically since the last contract was signed.

Would you want to be able to watch games on your smartphone? tablet? computer? Would you be willing to pay per game? month? season? How much?

I'm sorry but there need to be some more games on regular TV...

probably 10 years after they re-up for the next contract, since CSNNW knows without the Blazers no one would watch the station.

How bout sign a deal with KGW and show us the games for free, Paying extra to watch blazers to me is not worth it. We pay enough when we go to games, buy clothing etc... Not everyone has an extra 200 bucks to throw out.

If the Blazers want to expand the fan base and gain more attention charging more to watch there games is not going to do it, They need a KGW type deal to bring fans back to the table and get the excitement going again especially after the CCNW debacle.

DINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDING!!!!! We have a winner!

Funny, I have the same exact story for comcast.

I have Frontier internet, and whenever we've had trouble, we've been helped right away.

Should I recommend a raise for you to Comcast?

Why do you feel the need to attack?

I'm just pointing out facts about the two companies. Doesn't make me an employee.

I would like to extend my deepest and most sincere apologies here. I shouldn't have said "station", as comparing that shit-stained waste of money as a station is an insult to public access stations across the world.

Not attacking.

Nor are either of us bringing facts. You brang up an anecdotal story, as did I. It's LONG known that Comcast is a fucking joke with customer service, and I could provide facts. But that's too easy.

Baloney. Blazers owned their broadcast rights. They screwed up big time signing them over to Comcast without a hard commitment to get Dish and Direct on board.

It was even worse last season, where I had been watching the games on Dish/League Pass, starting last year, no go. Blazer games not available. I don't know if the 180 mile rule changed or what
No one at the Blazer office knew either. I gave up.

It's not even close bruh. Frontier eats donkey dicks.

When talking to Comcast you never talk to the first person on the phone. Ask for a customer loyalty specialist, and they give you basically the best deal they can.

Frontier fucked me when I thought of switching to them the first time in ten years, and Comcast was there to hook me up that same day with an absolute killer deal.

To nobody's surprise, I approve of this thread :)

And actually, I haven't updated my tally in awhile...kinda got busy/lazy and lost track of the count, but I'm pretty sure it's around 35-40 now.

The fact that with Comcast it's basically a barter system... lol.

It's like that with directv, dish, frontier too.

I'm just saying, if you want comcasts best deals, talk to customer loyalty when renewing

In the next installment of my post, I'll let it be known that where they suck the most is when you want to leave after they gouged the shit out of you for months and years.

I can really keep going, but it's far too easy to talk about how fucked up and idiotic Comcast is.

It's not hard at all. Tell them you're moving to a city (such as sandy Oregon) where they do not provide Comcast. They leave you alone and that's that.

Gouging the shit out of you? I've always gotten the best deals through Comcast. I'm paying $60 (including fees) for internet and cable

Another technique is to talk to frontier, dish, or whoever, get the best deal they are offering, then tell Comcast you're leaving because frontier is cheaper, and customer loyalty will match

As of September 2013, Comcast (Oregon and Washington), Ashland TV, Beaver Creek Telcom, BendBroadband,[5] Canby Telcom,[6] Charter Communications (Oregon and Washington), Country Cablevision, Frontier Communications (Oregon and Washington), MINET (Monmouth, Oregon),[7] Monroe Telephone, Reliance Connects, Scio Cablevision, Verizon FiOS (Portland and Seattle), and Wave Broadband are carrying the channel.[8][9]

I don't know the availability of all of those, maybe not a single one is carried in Portland, am unsure.
MINET (Monmouth/Independence) dropped it after the 1st year in 2010/11 I think. "Price was too high and customer interest too low". :banghead:

I don't know I've had a better personal experience with Comcast than I ever did with frontier....
Calling Frontier and their customer service one every few days because my internet/tv goes out randomly for 45minutes at 7pm pst...
they say
"okay Sir we'll run a test on your line and get back to you in a couple days if we see a problem...."
Then to find out 8 months later when I told them I was disconnecting and they asked why.
"Sir I'm sorry I don't see here that a test has ever been ran on your line"
Never go back to Frontier because of that.
My only issue with Comcast is they tried to charge me 50$ for a truck to come setup my tv/internet when I bought a house.
Not knowing I know exactly what their machines do because I used to work for Comcast...
Comcast did however quickly take that 50$ charge off when I called them on it.

We need FOX to buy the blazers next deal, and return the team to its people.

Anybody?

Wow really? Is that a teaser rate? Does it eventually go up like all of their "jack my price up" deals are? I'm paying $90 for the same thing... What channels do you get with that deal?

Yes its only good for the first year. Then it goes up to $90/month for the second year. At the end of the contract I'll call Comcast and talk to customer loyalty to get it brought back down again as they always will.

I just get 1-70 and a couple others like investigative discovery.

Not having HD channels would drive me crazy.

No point in having a nice TV if you don't have hd channels!
