Elon Musk makes request to Reddit CEO to take down posts he didn't like

Musk's public tirade about Reddit also included private correspondence with Reddit to influence content decisions.

Elon Musk personally reached out to the CEO of Reddit to complain about content on the platform.

Elon Musk is no fan of content moderation. When Musk acquired Twitter back in 2022, one of the driving forces behind his decision to buy the social media platform was content moderation, especially involving bans on right-wing accounts that he liked.

Now, Musk appears to be trying to exert control over content moderation on social media platforms he doesn't even own.

According to a new report in The Verge, Musk privately contacted Reddit CEO Steve Huffman regarding content on the social sharing platform.

Shortly after the correspondence between Musk and Huffman, a thread about DOGE employees was deleted. The subreddit where the thread was started, r/WhitePeopleTwitter, was also banned for 72 hours.

Anyone else notice how miserable Elon is? 14 kids by five women and no relationship. Told DOGE boys to expect 90 hour weeks. Sleeps on office floor. Left Super Bowl in a rage in 2023 when he learned President Biden had more hits on his Super Bowl tweet than Musk.

Most of us if we had, not obscene Elon wealth, but enough to do whatever we want, would try to enjoy life although our definition of enjoyment would vary. I would get a Super Bowl suite and invite all my pals. Go to performances and get best seats. Try exciting restaurants. Not sleep on the floor and try to destroy other people's lives.
 
Muskrats took over Institute of Peace literally at gunpoint. It is not a government agency. Employees are not federal workers. It is privately funded and owns the building where it is housed. Nevertheless, 28 year old DOGE now in charge issued memo firing all staff and putting up building for sale.
Memo misspelled names of employees, of the Institute and even April. These are the people running the government.

Elon spent more money trying to buy a Wisconsin State supreme court seat than were spent by both parties in George W Bush election.
 
Money can't buy me live, as the Beatles said, and can't buy a state Supreme court seat. Democratic backed candidate won decisively. Also state school board candidate who supports public schools best Musk/Trump backed charter school candidate.
