No need to f___ Memphis. They f___d themselves - many times over. They are are irrelevant. They have the worst GM in the league, the cheapest owner, and the longest losing streak. What could we do to them that could possibly be worse than what they've already done to themselves?

Fuck Portland.

Okay, what do you think of your new coach?

Yeah since Portland is basically heaven on earth.

Yes, it is. Thanks for stating the obvious. Portland consistently ranks at, or near, the top of all sorts of "Best Cities" lists (most sustainable, greenest, fittest, best architecture, etc.).

No. 6, "Fittest Cities in America" - Men's Fitness (February 2009)

No. 1, "Most eco-friendly big cities in America" - SustainLane.com (September 2008)

No. 5, "Top 10 Cities for Design in America" - BusinessWeek / RMJM Hillier (July 2008)
Platinum-level Bicycle Friendly Community designation (one of only two cities in the United States to currently hold this rating) - League of American Bicyclists (May 2008)

No. 25 "World's Most Livable Cities" (one of only two U.S. cities listed) - Monocle (UK-based magazine)

No. 2 "Top 25 Green Cities in America" - Country Home (March 2008)

No. 5 "America's 10 Cleanest Cities" - Forbes.com (March 2008)

No. 5, "Fittest Cities in America" - Men's Fitness (February 2008)

2008 Distinctive Destination (one of 12 cities chosen in the United States) — National Trust for Historic Preservation (February 2008)

"Top 10 Cities for Independent Moviemakers" — MovieMaker Magazine (Winter 2008)

Top 10 Cities to Beat / "Portland: Leader of the New Urbanism" — BusinessWeek (January 2008)

No. 2, "10 Greenest Cities in America" - MSN.com City Guides

Portland ranks first in nation for biking to work: The U.S. Census Bureau finds that more people bike to work in Portland than any other city in the United States. More info.

In terms of livability, Memphis can't hold a candle to Portland. But, don't feel bad, few place can.

If this is the result, I'd like to see the smogshow play Memphis more often... Maybe bryant could be next?

After the Pau Gasol gift, I don't see how Lakers fans could ever get mad at Memphis. And do we even know the extent of Bynums injury yet?

And also to echo what's already been said, yes Memphis is a shithole, and Portland is a MUCH nicer place to live. Though the rain fucking sucks :(

kg is the biggest piece of crap in the league.

FUCK the Celtics. I hate that ref BJ giving team. They would probably win 20 less games a year if the refs weren't wearin their knee pads.

Repped. Greatest post ever, as far as entertainment value.

you forgot Portland has more strip clubs per capita then any city in the US.

:ghoti:

And on the city chart, Boston kicks the living fuck out of Portland. :ghoti:

Why is this a "bash portland" thread? A laker fan started it.

Portland might be racist, too, if there were actually some black people living there.

wow...either very poorly worded or...thanks for help proving the point

...RI is close enough...you live in Boston previously?

wow...

Wow, I only ever lived in Newport...there are less black people there than Portland.

Go up one of the hundreds of "highways", though...I don't know about Providence and Warwick.

I've heard this before, but I never really understood it. I went to Buckman grade school. Now it's an arts school,
but when I went it was a long way from that. It was about half or a bit more black, and it's not deep in
NE or N Portland either. Plenty of blacks in the city. Not many in the burbs, though, I'll agree with that.

6.6% is pretty low for any city.

Funny...

Of all the cities I've been to Boston and Miami were BY FAR the most disappointing. It's like a starving man's Washington DC.
