Then he can be a spectator. Let THAT be his legacy.Because Dame won't play for any other team, including Portland.

Your metaphor works for Dame, not the Blazers. He can walk away from that contract anytime.I got fucking soaked in my divorce too, and it hurts. But being free was worth more in the long run.
So what? Miami has to make a choice. Brooklyn didn't let Phoenix off the hook even if it almost made the trade a wash for Phoenix.Miami does not have what Dame is worth as because if they get rid of say, Bam, then that the defeats the purpose of getting Dame in the first place.
We fucking BETTER get JacquezHerro, Lowry, Martin, Jovic, picks
Herro goes elsewhere for something and Lowry as well or bought out
Just my guess
I'd rather pay him to stay home.Herro, Lowry, Martin, Jovic, picks

Unless there is something new. He liked a tweet of a fan that said that. Not him tweeting it.
Haha I was just reeling it in lol. You’re good my friendAh fair enough. I did say "if" lol
Just saying friend that I don't think they can give us the value Dame is really worth without trading one of their stars themselves back to us or Cronin lets us get ripped off.So what? Miami has to make a choice. Brooklyn didn't let Phoenix off the hook even if it almost made the trade a wash for Phoenix.
We're not winning anything right now. Why would you take trash for your most valuable asset?I guess you're right in that Dame needs to play more than we need to win lol
Why? Every other team with a superstar has. Why are we different?

Have they though? They might have gotten some value, but did they get a superstar in return? I say hold out for two young bigs (Claxton and Clowney) and some picks. But other than OKC, who got SGA, most times the return is not equal. This is why I did not want to trade Dame in the first place.
How about this then.
The Blazers can certainly get a return on Lillard that would make the team right now better than having Lillard and Scoot and Simons and Sharpe sharing minutes.
We'll wait
Probably did it on purpose to try and keep him out of the trade.
Probably did it on purpose to try and keep him out of the trade.
Or the quicker they sign him the quicker they can trade him.
They could have traded his rights.
Who said a superstar? I want a KD like return. One or two players with real upside at a position of need and lots of draft picks.Have they though? They might have gotten some value, but did they get a superstar in return? I say hold out for two young bigs (Claxton and Clowney) and some picks. But other than OKC, who got SGA, most times the return is not equal. This is why I did not want to trade Dame in the first place.
What we get in return is more important than our reputation.I dunno (genuinely), reputation? ticket sales? team morale? ESPN interviewers asking our players about Dame after every game? Like I get on paper that this seems really cut and dried, and they might let this drag for weeks but I don't see it going into the season.
Yeah but what if it isn’t? What if the offer never gets better? What we get in return is more important than our reputation.
That's what they said when Simmons was sitting out in Philly and it dragged on for months. If I was Cronin I wouldn't even answer the phone for two months minimum.Yeah but what if it isn’t? What if the offer never gets better?
I agree, it almost seems like some of these guys are on the Miami payroll, trying to make it look like it's a done deal with Miami so as to discourage other teams from bidding.Keep seeing supposed league insiders saying Dame to Miami is a done deal. Fuck right off with that bullshit. Miami can have Dame if they give us Bam, Butler and Spoelstra, because they have literally fuck-all else of value. I mean, if we do end up trading him there it will be worse than the Pau Gasol-Kwame Brown trade (because there's no Marc Gasol consolation prize). But Cronin's history of getting massively disappointing hauls in trades is making me anxious.
I want Cam Johnson & Clax or Clowney....include Nurk with Dame. The deal with Nets would be so much better involving players and picks.Have they though? They might have gotten some value, but did they get a superstar in return? I say hold out for two young bigs (Claxton and Clowney) and some picks. But other than OKC, who got SGA, most times the return is not equal. This is why I did not want to trade Dame in the first place.
