Laker fans are super salty about Kyrie on Twitter lol. What an entitled fanbase.

Can you or some one else break down Lillards contract. How long left on it? Are there any special circumstances like Paul George's making all star or all teams granting bonuses?

He will be eligible for an extension next summer. But he has two seasons left at low rookie wages. He has to be voted to all nba team, voted into allstar game for special bonuses to matter.

Its funny Lakers fans talk about how there is no way they can go through another losing season and want to build a contender right now. They want the results of a quality long term rebuild but with immediate gratification. Reminds me of the rhetoric coming from the Knicks for the last decade plus. If you rush a rebuild it doesn't turn out well. If you sacrifice the long term for the present it catches up to you.

I think the Clippers might end up being the Los Angeles team of the next decade.

Interesting. I don't think you can have incentives on your rookie contract like santee mentioned earlier.

Yeah, that's why I said he's on his rookie contract. His next contract will probably have incentives built into it.

Dude it would be like landing on a new planet and trying to immediately build skyscrapers. Teams that have tasted long term success have trouble getting back to it if not done right.

Great analogy! Exactly

Oh definitely, he would already be close to the incentives he would have had if he was on a regular contract. All team and all star in one season is big.

Sacramento, Charlotte, Minnesota, Orlando and the champs from San Antonio all calling, I'm told, about Brooklyn free agent Shaun Livingston

It's weird how nba is talking about the big three in Miami. I think Chalmers is just important to Miami's success.

Chandler Parsons has received interest from the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves among others.

Nets are limited by what they can pay to keep Livingston after all that luxury tax they paid. Bound to struggle to re-sign him at this rate

@BlazerFreeman: League source with knowledge of meeting between #Blazers and Spencer Hawes tells me it "went very well." Seems Hawes has genuine interest.

Neil has said it not once but multiple times. They need to target people that want to be here. If they targeted all players up front that has no interest. They could lose out players they could have had, like a Spencer for instance. I'm sure many of you would take Spencer over seeing the Blazers come away empty handed. I can already envision what this forum would like in that situation. Neil is being realistic. Good for him.
