Ramona Shelburne: Important point on Bosh: He's waiting on direction from LeBron, source says, not the other way around.

So, would you rather Miami stay a powerhouse with the big three, or see it break up but Bosh goes to Houston.

All this time I wanted to see the Heat go down . . . but maybe not.

Yeah, I would much rather have Houston fail.

But if they fail with Bosh as well, won't it be even sweeter?

Houston has emerged as Bosh's top choice, should he leave the Heat, sources told Yahoo Sports. The circumstances make the Rockets a natural fit for him. Bosh can play the power forward spot alongside All-Star center Dwight Howard. Yahoo! Sports

I would prefer they stay in Miami. Definitely not out west

If lbj leaves to Cleveland, and bosh goes to Houston, who here would sign and trade for Wade?
Someone on realgm had mentioned trying tomake a "Pippen" type of trade this offseason, and Wade was the suggestion I made that most seemed to fit in that regards. Older vet, title experience. Definitely on the decline but still tons of talent. Wade is on the decline but still was a 19/5/5 guy. I don't think he leaves Miami, especially for here. But just throwing the idea out there. If they did it as a rebuilding move for McCollum, Leonard and Wright to match salaries.

The thing that bothers me with wade is his health. That just scares me.

Bro, they won't fail with Bosh. He is a perfect compliment for Harden and Howard. It was just like the convo we had last summer when we were talking about Aldridge going to Houston. Bosh is in the same mold. They would be unstoppable.

They would be really good. But only time will tell on "unstoppable". Harden and Howard can be selfish. Lets see how the chemistry works. However I agree it seems like a good fit.....

The thing about Bosh is, I think people forget how good he was in Toronto. He has willingly taken a back seat in Miami, but the guy has the talent to be as good as Aldridge.

Yeah. Bosh was playing center for miami. Move him to his natural position and I bet he would have the toronto type output.

Eh, not necessarily a Toronto-type output because he would be sharing the rock with Harden and Howard, but I think he would be more dangerous back in his natural position.

He won't have the Toronto output because he will still be the #3 guy in terms of touches. Don't get me wrong he would be great in Houston because he is unselfish, but this is a guard/wing driven league. Both he and Howard need to have someone pass it to them. Bosh can be a stretch 4, (Like Dwight likes) but do you want to waste that on him? It will be interesting to see what type of offense they would run.

I wouldn't be happy to see Bosh go to Houston because in theory it should make them very good, but Howard was already frustrated at not getting enough touches, and in general, I don't think "twin towers" tend to work. Duncan-Robinson worked because they were both incredibly nice team-oriented players, but Robinson had to give up a lot and I don't see Howard doing that. If he's pissed at getting few touches with Terrence Jones at PF, what's it going to be like with an actually good PF? It will be interesting to see. (Meanwhile, as I said before, Harden's sole value is on offense, as his D is laughably bad, and yet his shot has a tendency to vanish in the playoffs.)

HOWEVER: if they got a really good coach, they certainly would have the talent to be a title fave in the West.

Which means that either Riley KNOWS Lebron is coming back, or he's gambling on it. Because you don't bring in Granger if you're rebuilding.
Could be, but I'm guessing this is a low $ deal and apparently only for 2 years. Not much of a commitment even if Bron spurns em

Since it looks like Chicago is striking out, do you think they would be content just signing mirotic?

Maybe they would listen to Lopez and Mathews for Noah? Would you do that?

I suggested this trade or a Batum for Noah trade about a month ago. I'd do it. I think it's easier to acquire a Wes-level shooting guard or Batum-level small forward than a Noah-level big. Great defender all the way around, passes the ball exceptionally and scores a little. Would really help our pick-and-roll defense while sacrificing little in rim protection. But I seemed to be in the minority.

Its pretty damn hard to aquire a playmaking SF and a two way SG.

I wonder if we gave them McCollum if they'd sign and trade hinrich? He could eat up some of the departing sg minutes.

Or we could offer him the bae.

Chicago has been looking for a sg for awhile, Wes is a pretty good one. Lopez gives them a good replacement for Noah, and I'm sure thibs would help Lopez out a lot.

You wanna S&T a recent lotto pick for Kirk hinrich? Yikes. No thanks

Hinrich is going to get the BAE and we have that so why would we give up McCollum

Edit: Disregard. I see you are already getting pounded on. I don't want to pile on at all.

Just was an idea thrown out for a possible sg replacement. I mentioned we could grab hinrich for the bae. But adding McCollum to the original deal could be a greaser to get them to bite. And I sure as Hell still would for Noah
