Check this out.

I dunno, to me, it sure appears a bit more than coincidental that the (local) FAA chose to ground this plane. Just not sure yet what their motive might be. :dunno:

AUGUSTA, Georgia (AP)—An airplane that towed banners taunting Tiger Woods about his sex scandal during the Masters has been ordered to stop until it undergoes minor repairs.

Kathleen Bergen, an Atlanta-based spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration, said Friday that FAA flight safety inspectors issued the order after meeting with the plane’s pilot.

The single-engine Cessna made two flights near Augusta National as Woods played Thursday in the first round of the Masters, close enough that the banners could be read from the course.

The plane was flying for a company called Air America Aerial Ads based in Genoa, Ohio. Bergen says inspectors were responding to a request by FAA air traffic managers in Augusta.

Jason Howe, an employee for the advertising company, said Friday the plane’s only problem was with a seatbelt that failed to meet FAA standards. He said the company was complying with the order to fix it.

Howe wouldn’t say who paid for the aerial banners that mocked Woods. Jim Miller, the advertising company’s president, did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment.

I'd like to know who turned that pilot in. I'm certain it wasn't one of Tiger's entourage. I mean, I'm sure. :devilwink:

The Religious Right may control the opinions in the media, but you don't represent the majority of Americans on sexual issues.

It means, you and the media pundits may side with some idiotic religiously-motivated marriage advocate who harrasses Tiger Woods, but most people don't mind him at all, and most golf fans are still his fans in a big way. It means that the hateful media (right now, CNN, Fox, etc. run a couple of hours of hatred of him every night) never represents the side of the tens of millions of Americans who see the institution of marriage as oppressive.

No matter that kids are involved, right?

Little early in the day for getting drunk, ain't it?
