Location: Several, but most iconically at Northeast 7th Avenue and Burnside Street, above the Burnside Brewing parking lot. At least until yesterday, when Clear Channel took all of them down following a phone protest by pro-marijuana advocates.

What it says: "MARIJUANA WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT IT? NOTHING"

What's at stake: Ballot Measure 80, which would legalize and regulate marijuana in the state of Oregon.

What it's really saying: "Here's a person who is on meth. Or at least, here is a model made up to look like she's on meth. But we're going to pretend that she's on marijuana, because we think you don't know the difference."

The same photo was used by the Vancouver Police Department in a 2004 campaign advertising a meth hotline. Asked whether the picture looks to him like a marijuana user, Vancouver Police Department spokesman Eric McCaleb said, "No. Not really. They'd have to use Bob Marley or something."

later in the article it says the pro measure 80 action committee plans on putting a pro marijuana billboard there with $2,000 donated from the Oregon County Fair. Lol thought that was a random donation

that might have worked 30 years ago, but pretty much everyone has at least tried it before, and knows its safer than alcohol

Looks more like a face of meth! Face a pot, the chic should have a burrito in her hand sitting on a couch!

you can always tell the demon weed addicts by the semen stains on their clothing from habitually masturbating. because they are too lazy find a rape victim

I've never seen someone taking the pot who looked this unhappy. Maybe there was a run on ice cream at her local 7 Eleven. :dunno:

You took the words right out of my mouth, Dog.

I hope the new billboard features topless women with glittery fairy wings -- something for the whole family.

So...this thread has some funny comments (the ironic burrito/couch, and the hyper ironic semen stained/lazy rapists), but, you know, no argument that I feel compelled to make. Regarding the herb, I hope it's just a matter of time before it becomes legal. I have my fingers crossed (I use the little hole formed by the conjunction of the two crossed fingers to hold a big ass spleef).

*looks contemplative, scratches white substance off of jeans*

I think they need to put a Meth billboard up. Its reality and its killing people.

I remember going through a website that showed the arrests of an area, and finding a friend of mine from middle school and high school.

prostitution...

I also remember seeing a girl I once knew (in high school) had gotten a MIP at College (in Arizona).

weird the shit thats out there.

btw, everytime I feel a little down about myself (or think I look old)..I look through these kinds of pages and marvel at the fact some of them are my age but appear to be in their 50's.

bwahahahah...I just did a search in Multnomah county, and found the younger brother of someone i went to school with. HAHAHAHAHAH

idiot.

The woman in the photo on that billboard blames her "progression" to meth because she started on pot.

But, potheads get worried about these stories, so I won't judge. I was 19 once, too. Toke up, smoke up. Most of us have been living our lives in a natural state, though, and we're all competing for jobs.

The propaganda campaign needs new actors.

Any assault is charged as a felony. The word "felony" is a synonym for "any crime." It no longer means a "major crime."
