I don't think there is any double standard there. He is just saying phats or anyone with a daughter/granddaughter is going to see those things very similarly if not really the same.

If someone touches their daughter/granddaughter in any unwanted sexual way, that person will be lucky to remain breathing. That seems to be the gist.
 
I don’t know what any of the laws are regarding “sexual assault” or “rape” are, and neither does my son. We were both raised in a proper way that taught us to treat people the certain way, so that will NEVER come into effect/affect. Neither of us will ever or have ever been accused of being racist as well. Neither of those accusations will ever be tossed our way.
Glad that isn’t something I have to go look up.

Sounds to me like mansplaining. You telling a female how they should feel after being touched inappropriately. Would that be, "fuck their feelings?" And sorry dude, the "law" doesn't mean shit to me after 150 lawbreakers/insurrectionists were just pardoned for (wait for it) breaking the law!! The law is what Donald J. Trump and his Republican posse say it is. THAT is an actual double standard. And if so many people are disagreeing with you over such an extended period of time, it might be time to wonder why.....other than because we're all just a bunch of assholes.....
 
The whole argument stems from Trump's civil liability. He was found liable of sexual assault, but part of his victims testimony was that he penetrated her.

He sued and won against a newspaper that said he raped someone because of some technicality and some mistakes on their use of language. They should have published the finding he was found liable of.

He has never been convicted of sexual assault. He was found liable in a civil case. He was not found "guilty", and it was not a "conviction".

Did he penetrate a woman's vagina without permission? I believe he did. Did he have to pay a financial penalty as a result? Yes. Is that an entry on his criminal record? No, it is not.

Especially in the legal system, words have specific meaning. Particularly in a thread about "fact vs opinion", it would be good to get the facts of this right.

I had already noted it was civil and not criminal.

Sorry, he was found liable.

I asked females on FB.

They agree with me. Not you and a few others.

To think the trauma of being slapped on the ass would be the same as being forcibly penetrated is a joke to them. They said there are levels to sexual assault. And technically it is an assault for anyone to touch anyone else regardless of where.

But yeah. A few men telling me im mansplaining is laughable to them.

Facts are facts and definitions matter. They matter to the law and should matter to all citizens as well.

But just not here it seems…
Or… only when its convenient and suites their agenda…
 
Oh and btw. Instead of trying to silence men, telling me i have no place to have an opinion, they welcome the discussion and appreciate my desire to gain more knowledge. Not one person belittled me for asking because im a man….

No one said a slap on the ass would cause the same level of trauma. It was said depending on the sexual assault it could.

Stop bro. I was specifically told a slap on the ass is rape. Thats where my disagreement came into play. And thats where no one else stepped up.

It seems the law, women outside of this forum and myself, all agree.
It seems a few men on a forum disagree.
I know which side ill take and trust.

Just trying to explain where I thought they were coming from and it seemed from responses It was.

I think they had good points and so did you. I think you can both be right about most of it.

But to play Hitler's advocate, it is very remotely possible that AOC is in fact a secret Nazi, and the Beast knows this for a fact (because they attend the same meetings).
And her gesture, while cleverly designed to look to us normies as the beginning of a hug of a much taller congressperson, was actually a shout-out to Beast and all the other Nazis.

But about a month ago Phats said all sexual assualt is rape. I provided gov links showing it isnt. He dismissed the facts aNd said he doesn't care what they say.

I don't remember the details and am not going back to look it up. And I'm not here to defend Phats, he can do that perfectly well himself if he's inclined to.
I would say that if Phats said "there is no legal difference between a pat on the ass and rape" then he'd quite clearly be factually wrong about that. Same if he said there's no difference in the dictionary between the two.
If he said something else, then there's the possibility that he meant something other than the legal or the dictionary definition. Like it's his view/opinion/judgement that they are the same in some other way. Or something else.

Yet I read in here daily about the double standards of the right.

These are the types of WTF? That makes me question the sanity of some. Or maybe they are sane. Just so incredibly biased they are exactly what they rail against and just cant, or refuse, to see it.

If it bothers you that people say things that you disagree with, you may want to disconnect from the internet and move much further out into the woods. Because they are going to keep on doing that, and that is a fact.

Its all right there. I find it funny how many in this conversation has forgotten the previous conversation. But yet some seem to hold ill will on me for shit from years ago. But im crying over a month old post…like R7 immaturely posted. No double standard there at all.

I posted the gov site and definition of rape and sexual assault.

The response I got was, “…Nobody is talking about the legal definition.”

What other definition is there??? A made up one based on personal opinion?
I posted facts the fact guy dismissed and then tried to belittle me with the im sorry if you cant… blah blah blah.

Sure thing Barfo. Im not near as upset as you think I am. We’re all human. I just have less respect for those who cant admit when they are wrong. When those folks post like they know everything and belittle those who disagree with them, yeah it’s annoying. But we can all be annoying at times.

With that said, i posted historical conversational facts. Seems to me, with all the backlash, it is others who aren't capable of handling the truth and have to lash out in juvenile mannerisms.

If you notice, I largely steer clear pf the ot forum for this main reason. I still read up but i bite my tongue more often than you realize. But then this place can go peak crazy(my opinion) and I speak up.

That is definitely a link. However, it doesn't back up your claim about what I said.

Will you please post a Link to the specific post in which I say what you claim I said?

If not, I would request that the false claim be removed.

Nope. This is earlier in the convo. The attempted rape you claim is such, was a reference to a slap on the ass aNd various other sexual assaults that do not include penetration. You will have to do the rest of your research yourself.
