Failton for Steve Blake?

I think Nate McMillan honestly thinks that Steve Blake will help him turn around this team.

Yeah, that's something else isn't it? That our organization is being run by a shoe guy, a guy who totally lucked into his money and has lost money on every business venture he's ever engaged in, and a scout with a horrible track record.

Why Steve Blake? Let Felton expire. I'd much rather see Nolan get some playing time.....or bring back Patty Mills. Blake was on ok fill in as a backup, but my god, the Blazers are already boring enough....do we need to go through Blake again?

Getting Steve Blake makes zero sense, and if I didn't know this place better, I'd assume that nobody would freak out over a rumor that likely won't happen.

With this front office right now anything is possible.

That's why people are on edge.

I knew Allen was an inept owner when he fired Tom Penn, and then KP, and kept around his Yes Men. Then Cho, who frankly I misread initially, wouldn't massage Allen's ego, and Paul shit-canned him as well.

This organization should be a laughingstock. It's the Raiders under Al Davis, except without a track record of success.

The other part of me doesn't understand why people get so upset, though. The problem with the Blazers isn't the coach (or coaches in the past), the GM (or past GMs), or even the players.

We know that Paul Allen is prone to making irrational decisions, and with that sort of uncertainty at the top, it's impossible to get a consistent and positive culture within any organization.

trade doesnt even work financially, they would have to throw in mcroberts

exactly, our team and mgmt is such a clusterfuk why wouldn't we believe it's possible?

So if we do this, that would make it: Dre/Rudy/Faried/Koponen for Blake and Nolan.

then we better hope Nolan is the next great PG in the league.

darius morris the next andre miller?? omgomgomg

Seriously I can't believe I'm saying this but I'd rather have Blake than Felton.

Blake somehow has an even worse PER (I didn't realize that was possible while still managing to hold onto a roster spot in the NBA) and plays worse defense.

In addition, he has a worse contract (not expiring, like Felton).

Blake's fallen on even harder times than Felton.

fuck i hate steve blake

At least with Felton, i can tease myself into seeing where his game can improve, and liking what that can be. With Blake....ugh. Fuck. 2 1sts, and then, maybe a future first, just to have to deal with him. We were dumping babbit away from having no white guys on this team. Now Joel returns, we'll add Blake. Probably trade Crawford to Mil. for Udrih and ilyasova. Camby for some other white dude. damnit!!

Blake sucks under every other coach but McMillan. If we're going to be cursed with Nate for more than the rest of the season, might as well get players around him that play well for him.

:sigh:

except then we're stuck with blake for 2 more years! fuck that, let felton expire before bringing blake back here

In a sane world, we agree... but we live in Blazerland. :D

It's sorta like that thing where a guy starts with a paper clip and makes a long series of trades and ends up with a car ... except in reverse.

uhm, you said you'd rather have Blake than Felton. We don't agree.

As for the trade, why is Nolan and Faried included in there exactly?

reports were that part of the trade was the blazers agreeing not to draft faried (not even sure the blazers wanted to draft him though)

so dre, rudy to dallas (which became the 26th pick or something and went to denver as jordan hamilton), koponen, the right to draft faried, AND A FUTURE 2ND for felton. then denver picked up rudy AND corey brewer from the mavs for a 2nd rounder. wtf.

then we just drafted nolan

denver basically traded felton for...... dre, rudy, corey brewer, the right to draft faried, and jordan hamilton...serious ujiri-slap

joy

The most hilarious part of Blazer home games these days is looking to the front row and seeing how awkward it looks for Larry Miller to sit next to Allen & Co.

I remember when you used to be a big Blanky supporter.

Cat shit IS tastier than dog shit.
