What are your schedules for the upcoming scholastic year? I start on August 25.

I'm running out of electives to take, so this semester is strictly business and I won't be able to post as much.

Fall 2008

Physics II (4 credits) Monday/Wednesday/Friday
Busywork Physics class (1 credit) Wednesday
Physics II Lab (1 credit) Friday
Calculus II (4 credits) Tuesday/Thursday
Org Chem I (4 credits) Tuesday/Thursday
Org Chem I Lab (1 credit) Friday

There's an absolute killer Org Chem teacher I have to avoid, so my Chem classes are kind of late into the day. :/ All my classes start after Noon except for a Lab class on Friday.

Good luck to everyone in the new school year.

I really have no clue. I wanted more classes, but right now, I have:

Computer Organization - 4 credits
Discrete Math for Computer Science - 4 credits
General Physics - 4 credits.

I went to the orientation, and it was pretty gay in that there was a ton of kids, not enough advisers, and they didn't even have all of our transcripts, so I wasn't sure what I needed to take.

About 2 weeks ago, I tried to add classes, but couldn't. Now, I am confused, with absolutely no time to go in and talk with an adviser. So I'm stuck with only 3 classes, despite wanting 5 or 6.

Expository Writing - 3 credits
Spanish Conversation/Composition - 3 credits
Intro to Statistics - 3 credits (should have taken AP stats last year in HS . . . d'oh)
Intro to Microeconomics - 3 credits
Calculus II - 4 credits

I think those credits are right, but I really don't remember. I know I have 16 total though.

And we don't actually get our schedules until sometime this week, so I don't know my times yet. Don't want anything too early or too late.

I hated Organic Chemisty

Because of the Co-Op program at UC, there was a special O-Chem class for the Chemical Engineering majors with everything shoved into 2 quarters instead of 3 quarters. Plus, lab was twice a week. It was pure hell.

The second quarter, the lab was my only class on Friday and it was at 2 pm. My buddy and I use to go drunk all of the time

Our highschool Orgo teacher was incredibly easy, and was just fired this year. I'm debating whether to take it in highschool or not.

Accounting 422- Cost Management II (4 credits)
Accounting 427- Assurance and Attestation Services (4 credits)
Business 492- Consumer Behavior (4 credits)
Physical Activity Course 116- Competitive Basketball (1 credit)

Sounds ridiculously hard, lol.

After I take Biochemistry next summer I'll finally be caught up with my new major. It had been Physics but that seemed less useful to me than BME.

You can't add the classes you want? Well within the first week, a lot of kids drop/swap classes so you shouldn't give up just yet.

Yeah, I'm hoping I'm not completely screwed. I'll need extra classes to raise my GPA, because I doubt I'll do too good in Discrete.

I found out that I got an 88 on the NYS Regents Exam (Standardized test for the state of NY) for Italian, so I don't have to take it in college. ****ing sweet.

Wtf? Aren't you in college, already?

How come? And which college?
State University of New York Institute of Technology, because it's just way better than my community college, although I was getting paid to go to school there (free ride!)

Got my sched today. My monday's suck, my friday's are awesome. I only have one class on friday and it's from 9:15-10:35 in the morning. So I'm basically free on the best day of the week. I didn't get into Stats though because the class filled out before I applied for it. Now I really wish I took AP stats in high school last year. I have to take some info technology course in place of it now.

No classes on Friday. I actually looked for classes that I'm taking that are on Fridays, and didn't see any. It's pretty sweet.

Thursday was always a big party night. I never would have made a 9:15 class on Friday morning

Dropped the Spanish course. I probably could have taken it and done average, but I didn't want to take a chance on dropping my GPA because I need to get into the Rutgers Business School next year.

Didn't get placed into the Stats course because it filled up before I applied. They put me in an Informatics course instead, but I dropped that because there's no reason for me to take it. I went to the first lecture and almost fell asleep.

Added General Psychology.

I have no classes on Wednesday now, but I have four on Thursday.

Plato
Aristotle
Marx and Marxism
Modern Atheism
Emotions in Political Theory

Russian I (6 credits) - M/Tu/W^2/Th/F
Economics for Journalism (5 credits) - M/Tu/W/Th/F
American Government (3 credits) - M/W/F
Journalism Career Explorations (1 credit) - M/W (for like half the semester only though!)
Attorney for the Damned (1 credit) - Th

It's pretty easy. I've gotten an A on every quiz / exam / assignment so far. I don't see why some people make college out to be so hard. It is much easier than high school on the IB track was imo.

It gets harder. Take my accounting classes for example, The intermediate series accounting courses were the hardest classes I've ever taken in my life.
