Baller Dog!
Sent from HCPs Baller-Ass iPhone 5...FAMS!
Here is our dog Tahoe shedding during the Summer. I always feel like such a bad dog owner during the Summer when my dog looks homeless.

Last night we had to put down our Red Doberman. I don't know if I have ever been more connected to a pet before. It's incredibly sad, but she lived to be 11 which is a very good age for a Doberman. I will definitely miss her.
I'm sorry, Zybot. Been there, done that. And my cat Orlando was diagnosed with severe congestive heart failure. I keep him going on meds, he's already visibly lost weight and I know he only has a few months left.
Be satisfied you gave your friend a peaceful end.
Thank you both for your posts. I know you are both right. She was a lucky dog, and I was lucky to spend so much time with her. As pet owners, sometimes the hardest thing to do and when we show them the most love is when we help end their suffering. Apparently she had an undiagnosed advanced cancer that just became a huge issue for her in the last 48 hours.Man, so sorry for you. I know how much I love my pal. Take solice in the knowledg that she was able to enjoy her life in a home with people that returned her love. Many do not..find another special pal
My heartfelt condolences, Zybot. Losing any pet sucks, losing a long-lived pet sucks all the more. My brother's dog is twelve, and probably won't last the winter. He's got arthritis in both hips and in one shoulder, he's going blind, he can't hear very well anymore, but he'll still a happy, intelligent, and well-cared-for little bastard. I'll put pics of him up later.Last night we had to put down our Red Doberman. I don't know if I have ever been more connected to a pet before. She likes getting petted so much that I've been thinking about hiring a mexican to stay home and pet her all day when I'm at work.

I had a Malamute while in college in Montana, and he lived with my wife and I in Portland before he passed. I used to harness him, and he'd pull me on my bike all over town.
Smelled like a bonfire from the highway for like 50 miles when I was there early this week. Spooky.Heading back to this lake tomorrow with the family and the dog for a week of what seems to be smoke-filled air in So. Oregon.
