I thought it was pretty cool. Decided to share.

Trailer

Human Torch: I just bought this tux....

If you live in NYC, this is kind of like a typical day here....

Silver Surfer looks SICK.

Not another superhero movie. Robert Downey as Iron Man is bad enough to look forward to.

I don't know guys...doesn't look so good.

[lame joke] Why don't they just call it Fantastic 8? [/lame joke]

Very lame indeed.

Not as lame as this movie will be. They're going overboard with the comic book movies now.

Agreed....Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer...what a joke.

You guys are sleepin. The first one was pretty cheesey but this has potential.

jeez, everyone should have their own opinion. I personally think this one'll be good (despite the first one being pretty bad).

I'm sorry, but after X-men 3, I just hated all these superhero movies. (Spiderman does not count).

don't worry fam, as long as you honestly feel that way.

I just hate sheep.

As long as I get to see Alba in tight ass outfits I really don't care either way.

Come on now, that first Spider-Man movie was a joke the way they depicted Green Goblin. I thought I was watching Power Rangers. Killing off Doc Ock in the second film was a pathetic way to close. The third movie has that skinny kid from That 70's Show playing Eddie Brock, I mean wtf is that?

I respect your opinion if you all liked those films, that's cool, but for me personally I just find them too cheesy. The only really good hero movies I've ever seen were Batman and Batman Begins. Hellboy was pretty good, I liked that they followed the comic with the exception of making Liz a bigger part of the story. Other then that I've been pretty disapointed.

I also don't like the fact that Robert Downey will be playing Iron Man. Next will be Captain America being trashed (in a more modern sense) and the death of comics will be upon us. Wait a second, it already has come what with that Civil War series going on. I don't know what the hell Marvel were thinking with that.

As for the Fantastic Four 2 film I bet you all they won't even make the right connection between Galactus and the Silver Surfer. I personally prefer the extremely low-budget never released film from 1994. It follows the real story more accurately and if you're a fan I assume you'll like it anyway despite the effects being cheesy as hell. See for yourself on youtube.com.

Start with Part One and make your way through.

I don't see anything wrong with the Spiderman movies (I liked the Green Goblin and I don't care about Doc Ock dying to be honest).

As for this Fantastic Four movie, it looks like it could be ok enough to watch; I wouldn't bash it yet.

Maybe he's just a comic book head?

I myself don't like it when they change the story up, I was dissapointed as hell when Charles and them died in X3.

I didn't like the first Spiderman either. The Green Goblin's costume was retarded and they wasted Dafoe's acting ability with cheesy lines and a stupid premise. It felt like they were targeting a much younger audience.

However, I was pleasantly surprised by the second one. The storyline was more focused and they did a better job of getting into the character of Peter Parker. I also didn't mind Doc Ock's death, just because of the different dynamics of the movie and comic book industries. With comic books, writers are forced to write really open-ended conclusions so that they can use villains in later issues, but the director didn't face this problem and his death created a much better ending, IMO.

This next one looks good, too. I would defend the choice of Eric Foreman for Eddie Brock, just because it seems like the director's using his own interpretation of it. I'm guessing he wants to emphasize the rivalry between Brock and Parker by choosing two actors that look pretty similar. I have no problem with that type of difference, because when directors blindly follow the comic book's storyline, it can be pretty bad too (eg: The Punisher, Spawn).

Still, I don't think any of these upcoming movies can touch Batman Begins and the successive remakes that those guys intend to make. They are really going to do that series justice and hopefully let me to forget every one of those previous Batman movies.

And yes, this Civil War nonsense is idiotic.

Charles didn't die in X-3

Oh.

Well what happened to him then?

He lost his powers.

At the very end, it dictated that he was getting them back though.

?

I must have missed something between him getting evaporated by Jean and his tombstone at the very end.
