It opens tomorrow, and I'm more than willing to start a league if we can get enough people here. It would be roto unless enough people are against it, and ideally, we can get a good 14-16 teams for heavy competition. Try to let me know ASAP so we can get a good draft time. Yeah, 16 is a little too much IMO too.I'll definitely join... but only if you have a lot of bench spots and less RP's than SP's. So yah, just make sure the roster positions are cool.BTW, is it Yahoo or ESPN?

I'll let you know more about that a little later. It'll be on Yahoo.

I don't need someone drafting a crappy team in a 12-team league and then winning it all because they got two hot free agents that stayed hot through the season. You have to know your sleepers, you have to know your prospects, and you have to know rotations and bullpens. Baseball is a deep sport, you can have 16 teams AND expanded rosters and still not be able to find a cuttable player on your squad. It's not like fantasy football where you can just get lucky and people can come out of NO WHERE. Usually you can see it coming at least a bit.

Thanks for the list Venom. I'll hold off on creating a league until we can get at least 12, but I'll be pushing for more. Everyone would be ok if I got reliable guys from outside of here, right? Only if needed.

im in...10-12 teams defintiely...no more...or else there are gonna be teams sarting like....Miguel Cairo all year... as long as ESPN is free, i can do it there, but Im used to Yahoo

I know I have more fun playing fantasy when I'm trying to decide between Jhonny Peralta and Jamey Carroll as my starting Short Stop....Yeah... exciting.

im in...i also think 16 teams is the way to go. 12 teams is pussy, showing no skill at all in the later rounds. people know enough about baseball to know names of a few prospects in baseball that they can pick

It doesnt have to be 16. Just NOT 10. That's ridiculous. You could miss the draft, never check the league once, and win it all. Every team has a good 10 players (or more) worth something fantasy wise, that's 300 players. Then you have prospects and your deep, deep sleepers. Fantasy is no fun if you don't dig deep and have to work harder than everyone else does. If you guys arent into it enough to do a 16 team league, then 14 would probably be a good compromise. It just makes you follow close and work hard, and I don't want people joining up if they're not going to be doing that anyway.

Enough teams to make sure everyone doesn't have a roster stacked with talent, but small enough rosters to where you can still make trades with people. In leagues that are spread too thin, it's impossible to make a trade because no one wants to give up an above average player, much less a star.
 
I still think you guys should join my pussy league with only 10 teams or so.
