Okra is just fine raw, when I'm picking I always eat at least one right off the stalk. I love it fried too but most people cut it up then bread it with flour/corn meal before frying...but give this a try, trim the caps off the ends and then bread it and fry it whole...makes it easir to get a good even fry plus it's easier to eat.
I usually also put up a bushel of boiled peanuts in the freezer in zip lock bags...a bushel will yield about 35 bags. Take 'em out of the freezer and put them in the microwave for 5 minutes and you're good to go.
I always trim off the ends of okra before cooking it in any form. I can only see leaving the ends on when pickling and I'm not sure why. I guess its because all of the pickled okra that I eat has the caps on and it gives me a handle to hold when eating.

Grolsch pilsner was a favorite of mine back in the day...best bottle design ever

Looks awesome.

I find myself like the Pelican Pilsner these days.

Also, how can I forget. Lost Coast Brewery in California is great.

Guinness had a great bottle design. Lots of German beers have great looking bottles as well as great looking labels. Germans know good beer.
However, I really like an extremely ice cold regular can of Coors. I can drink that down in three or four gulps comfortably. Think I'll have one tonight.
Thanks for stimulating my interest.

Couldn't find a single NW brew. Where the best hops and breweries are found.

OK, I understand. PS: I had a number of cases of 10 Barrel Apocalypse delivered to my wedding in Nashville. It was a sensational hit. Even had some left over for my own pleasure.

I ain't no teenager and I don't drink beer for a punch. My God man, your an old timer. What are you doing drinking beer for the punch?

The operative words, here, Lanny, are "as well". It's a great sipping beer and I happen to enjoy its punchyness, as well. One is fine for me.

Have any of you ever purchased a "Crowler"? It's like a growler, but in a can. When we were in Florida, the Greyton Beach Brewpub poured and canned of their beer selections on the spot for me. 32 oz. can. Kinda cool. I'll be checking it out this sometime over this weekend. NOTE: I did see that their permit expired last year! LOL Not exactly certain what the permit was for, but whatevahs. ;)

My favorite brewery is easily Level Brewery off Airport Way. They had a beer mixed with oyster juice once. It was actually pretty good. It is called Shucker Gently.

I like a bunch of breweries. 10 barrell. Full Sail. Pelican. Widmer. Gilgamesh. They all usually have something I like.

Usually I'm into sours, pilsners, wheat beers, radlers, porters, kolsch, or hazy ipas.

Pyramid has a really good Berry Tart ipa.
I'm friends with the owner of the oyster truck up there, he collaborated on that brew, I believe. Should definitely check out his shock truck. Great oysters, poke, ceviche, and a super knowledgeable dude on the subject.

where’s this oyster bar? I’m an oyster connoisseur of sorts. Shooters especially.

Thats cool that you kept it North Fresh. My family from Missouri always love coming out this way and dipping into the local treasure chest of microbrew madness, if you will

Yessir. Bass mostly, although haven’t played a show in probably 4 or 5 years. Jam a lot with buddies though. Like to jam guitar or uke also when writing music. I’ll hop on a drum kit if there’s one around.

well shit. You will have to head over sometime when i have some peeps over for a jam.

God almighty, that's a lot of beer. Oh, not a lot when I was in my 20s, in fact, that wouldn't have even gotten me warmed up back then, but I couldn't drink that much in a month in my 70s.

I'll be trotting it out to share with my brother-in-law.
