All these threads keep getting locked!!! Time for me to lock this shit up!!!

I'd take tofu over steak any day!!!

...tofu is fine in certain situations...but did you even notice the thread title?...it's about "steak".

I drink a lot of Scotch to balance things out.
Now, you're talking about a great drink. I think I must be the exception. I love my scotch on lots of ice and I drink blended rather than single malt. Have I had it neat? Yes. Have I had a good single malt? Yes, multiple times.

Olive juice is an abomination. Its like using a pickle back
I can see you've never learned the art of consuming a martini. It takes practice but once you've learned, it's like riding a bicycle, you never forget.

...Knockando is a good one (made by my fav, J & B) (Justerini & Brooks)

...^^^gin or vodka?...I prefer vodka myself.

A martini is always gin.

You pour vermouth into the shaker, swirl it around and then pour it out before adding ice and gin.

Always finished with a twist of lemon.

There is no other acceptable way.

^^^wrong again.

...I love it when people spout off about things they obviously know little about but instead rely on google.

I like the Pinch Dimple by Haig and Haig but I also drink Chivas and Johnny Walker black label on occasion. I've got a bottle of 20 year old Chivas in my liquor cabinet that I haven't yet opened. Also, recently returned from Ft. Lewis where I bought three bottles of 12 year old Pinch Dimple.

I once bought a case of Chivas in St. Louis that took me about ten years to finish. Not exactly what you'd call a heavy drinker, these days.

For everyone here locally, T-bone and NY steaks are $5.77 a pound this weekend at Safeway and Albertsons.

The ad says you have to buy in the value pack but they will honor that price at the meat counter.

^^^no, it's based on your personal preference...gin is pretty much juniper berries added to vodka...vodka and/or gin are common liquors used in making a martini.

...wow...Sly, at that price are you sure it's not horse meat?

If you ask for a martini from a real bartender, you are getting gin unless otherwise requested.

...no, you're wrong once again...I bartended for a good while and unless I already knew the particular customer's preference, when a new customer asked for a martini I always asked "vodka or gin" so there would be no surprises...I also asked "up or on the rocks" because some people have different preferences.

...again, you're out of your element here and you don't know what you're talking about...please let it go before you embarrassed yourself further.

Applebees doesn't count
