Since some people might be having more time off than usual, I thought this might be a good thread to have. I've primarily used Netflix for TV shows over the last several years, but I don't watch many movies on it so recommendations would be much appreciated.

I didn't watch all of these on Netflix, but they're all on there and I'd recommend all of them.

TV shows:

Breaking Bad
Sherlock
Arrested Development
Freaks and Geeks
Firefly
Spaced
Luther
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Battlestar Galactica
Life
Lie to Me
Bob's Burgers
House of Cards
The League
Louie
The Office
Scrubs
Prison Break
Arrow
Chuck
The Following
Psych
Heroes
Justice League and Justice League Unlimited
The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret

Stand-up Comedy:
Bill Burr (2 shows)
Craig Ferguson
Bo Burnham
Jim Jeffries
Jim Gaffigan

What are some of your favorites?

OITNB
The Office
Breaking Bad (They need to get the rest of it on there! Still waiting!)
Glee
House of Cards

American Horror Story

The best stand up guy right now is Aziz Ansari. I think they have 2-3 of his standups on Netflix

Dexter

Seasons 5-8 will be available in January.

Also, similar to how some people here use a VPN program or app to view league pass, there is a VPN browser add-on called Hola that allows you to switch between countries. If you didn't know, both Canadian and British Netflix have different streaming choices. It's very easy to use and comes in handy.

Note: Hola Unblocker will not work for Netflix if you have a DVD plan.

Enjoyed Luther and Sherlock (BBC). Little frustrating that British shows run for like four episodes a season, though. They're good and I want more.

I'm just starting Sons of Anarchy. It's awesome.

I like:

Suits
Chuck
Grimm
Sherlock

Lots of good shows man. Lots of good shows. Addictive as hell though.

I liked Battlestar Gallactica when it was on the air the first time and have watched the reruns twice now.

The original 1970's series or the newer one? I could see you being a 70's fan. The newer one would be too religious for you.

Anyone watch Ray Donovan? I haven't seen it but it was recommended.

Orange is the new black is a pretty fantastic show (netflix orginal)

Ray Donovan is almost really good, but still good enough for a netflix stream

Game of Thrones is a must stream

Was ready to start watching the whole series and am now not because how bad everybody said the final was. Refused to invest if the ending sucked.

The series is amazing.

I just found out about House of Cards this weekend and have already burned through 5 episodes. Sharp dialogue, some eye candy, puzzles to solve...my kind of series.

Also really enjoyed the BBC Sherlock. I've read all of the stories multiple times, so to see their takes/modern adaptations is kind of fun (unlike, say, "Elementary", which Mrs. likes).

SO SAY WE ALL!

Some of my friends think it's strange that I like so many shows and movies with religious themes.

There would be no plot without their mythology about the Earth colony.

For me the best new TV show hands down is the Blacklist, Netflix House of Cards is great, HBO's Deadwood was my favorite but put me off series because after 2 seasons, it didn't end...a travesty! Derek is another netflix series I liked. I liked Hannibal as well. American Horror story is also very good. I liked Weeds a whole lot, was sorry to see that one end.

Watching the Fall right now. I'm sure we just get the best of the best, but I'm loving the BBC shows lately. Sherlock, Luther (when is season 3 coming to Netflix?), The Fades, Wallander and Ripper Street have all been great.

Others I've been watching lately are Mad Men, Justified (this might be on Amazon, not Netflix), the Killing and Top of the Lake.

HOC is AWESOME. I can't wait for the 2nd season. Kevin Spacey makes that, without a doubt. I got done with the season in probably 3 days.

I'm really enjoying Peaky Blinders.

Alias. I felt like the first two seasons were fantastic. They had to dumb it down after the first 6 months, because it was so fast paced. Before "24" it was the closest thing to "24" I had ever seen. So many twists...
