FBI Statistics show 15% decrease in Oregon crime!?

CDC statistics show Oregon has lower overdose rate than 2/3rds of states!? Blame Measure 110! Tell your legislators to cut other budgets, divert hundreds of millions of dollars back to re-criminalize drugs, & divert police away from worse crimes!

Except I would think law enforcement would wait until measure 110 is repealed or modified to start showing gains.

And this is FBI data. So I don't think they care what the internal police numbers say. Maybe the state of Oregon could be fudging the numbers before sending them out to the FBI?

Crime is down 15%! From its 80% rise!

Sounds like the inflation argument.
Well, considering it had been rising since like 2015 (or 2008, or actually only slowed in the 90s depending on the model you're looking at and your perspective) and it dropped immediately when the homelessness and measure 110 funding hit the streets it seems fairly significant.

20% decrease in Portland, how can this be?

We’re seeing a very high number of fentanyl overdose deaths. 5 Oregonians a day on average.
Which is about the national average... Fentanyl just got to the NW in full force. It's been far worse on the east coast for years.

Same as marijuana, bit that really started on the west coast and took years to work it's way back east in comparable qty and potency.
