What I said about him isn't so much criticism as it is a summary. I can do actual criticisms, but responding to beast's out-of-touch dribble isn't the time or place.

I’ve mentioned before, I won’t be voting this time around. I won’t be voluntarily taking part in this failed experiment any longer or dedicating personal time or effort towards it. I would be absolutely ashamed to hand in a ballot with any of these people’s names on it. Paying taxes that are being used to murder women and children is a hard enough pill to swallow as it is—the least I can do is not wave blue or red pompoms while i am forced to do it.

We agree on this point; though I don't think harm reduction is waving pom-poms. Eventually it does get old and the establishment relies on us constantly voting for the lesser or two evils. You can do a protest no-vote with a clear conscious because the ratcheting effect of American politics ensures policy shifts to the right year after year. But from the view of the left, our backs are against the wall, and I don't like our chances in the long run.

That's the problem, you don't understand stuff, so you mock it. I think the concept can be easily illustrated, by imaging you have a new administrator come in to take over your place of work. Someone who may be bright but has no direct understanding of your operations. The workers and really running the show, the admin will have ideas and goals, but relies on those who are there to inform and implement.

Now extrapolate that out to the massive federal government, all the intelligence departments, the military. Nefarious elements of the deep state collaborated to kill JFK when he attempted to undermine them. If the boss can be killed with impunity who is really the boss?

I am not claiming this is a new thing to “get” Trump either. It’s been going on for a long time. I think the “deep state” term just came into popularity in the Trump era.

Seriously, that's just dumb. I can understand not voting for either candidate for President but there are always important candidates, tax measures, and ballot measures on the local level that have a direct effect on you and your family. Especially in a state with a small population like Wyoming.

It wouldn't be feasible for a new CEO or president to replace the whole company with handpicked staff, especially at the level of the federal government, which employs tens of thousands of people.
