February Western Conference Player of the Month......

No disrespect to Durant and his 22 points and 8 rebounds on 6-10 from the field and 2-3 from three, but Davis with 53 points (16-29, 21-26 FTs), 18 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 blocks, and only one turnover ... signed, sealed, and delivered.
No disrespect 2U, but Davis lacks in the most important statistical category: Swish3s. If Meyers was playing, he'd win every POM award.

Crap, I posted this on my wrong account!

Durant's efficiency at all levels is far beyond what Davis is putting up.

Harden is undefeated for the month, with a vastly superior +/-, and also a better ppp than Davis.

Any one of the 3 could win it and be deserving. Dame is 4th, in my mind.

Agreed, and thats nothing to get upset about. Damian being 4th in that list is awesome.

Dame might be having the best month ever by a Blazer, but I don't know how you don't give the award to Davis. Those totals and percentages are ridiculous, and he's got a team winning that was supposed to drop like a rock with Cousins out.

I do. The flopper went 10-0.

Right now, the Northwest Division is the toughest in the NBA: all of the teams have 30 wins, all have a winning home record, all are at least 5-5 in their last 10. No other division boasts any of these indicators, let alone all three. There’s no bottom feeder for a leading team to feast on. It’s a battle royale.

And we’re 2 games out of leading in that division.

What a season.

Decent chance that all 5 NW teams make the playoffs, if Anthony Davis ever cools off.

If Dame leads this team to 3rd in the West he really should get some MVP consideration. It’s not like he has CP3 on the court with him like Harden. As far as GS players, No player on a team with 4 all-stars should be the MVP.

He's in top 5. How can anyone deny that?

I could easily put Harden, Lebron, Durant, Antetokoumpo, and Davis ahead of Dame in the MVP race.

It seems a little lame that a guy who is surrounded by Steph, Klay, and Dray would be ahead of Dame, especially if they finish 2-3 in the West.

A 60+ win team is outstanding, regardless of whether or not there are other 60+ win teams in the same conference. And Durant drives that team, regardless of the teammates. Plus his defense has gone to another level; he should make an all-defense team this year.

Even when in great circumstances, a player has to perform, and Durant has been better than ever this year.

Yeah, Greek Freak leading Bucks to the 7th seed in the East. Oh please.
That's fine, you're welcome to make that argument. I'd still put his 27/10/5 with outstanding defense ahead of Dame in the MVP race, despite his team being not quite as good.

Along those lines though, if we're going to value team record so greatly over individual performance, then don't you kind of have to put Kyrie and Derozan ahead of Dame?

Dame has now climbed above Westbrook for PER among PGs. He's now 4th behind Steph/Kyrie/CP at a staggering 24.72.

Kyrie and Dame have been jostling at #5 pretty much all season, but both are seeing an increase in efficiency over the past month. This truly is the golden age for PGs.

I'm considering everything. Saying this ONLY if we finish with home seed. I love Greek Freak, but he's not there yet, not in the leadership or clutch moments. Irving and DeRozan aren't ahead of Dame right now.

LeBron is playing crap defense whole year, and it's not important, just like Harden, or Irving or Westbrook. At the end of the day you have MVP and DPOY so...
